But at least that'll be my choice. You don't have a choice; Sony are making you pay for blu-ray.
We'll see which game gets the best reviews when they're both released. I'll bet my house that GOW comes out on top.
and booming economy I should think theres a lot of 360's been sold there. Why shouldn't there be?
Surely your not suggesting that Sony invented the concept of parallel processing. Besides, Sony didn't invent the Cell.. IBM did.
How long do you think it takes to design a CPU?
Companies like Intel and AMD wouldn't sell R&D to a fearsome competitor like Microsoft for a trillion dollars; they have to start from scratch as all the CPU manufacturers did. My guess is, we won't see the next Xbox until christmas 2010 at the earliest. It's just sensible business practice to start planning now. I'm sure Sony are already thinking about Playstation 4, and the hardware that the next Nintendo console will use probabl...
Whats the BS mean? i'm guessing bullshit.
Besides, any knowledge you might have on the subject means absolutely nothing unless you have some experience working with the consoles. Considering how difficult it is to get on the development programmes and actually gain access to the dev kits and SDK's I doubt you know any more than the rest of us.
Sigma is just a tarted up version of NG: Black that we Xbox fans have already had. We'll get Ninja Gaiden 2 instead!
I think some people who have only played the 360 demo pods might get the wrong idea about the controller. Microsoft fixed the controller at an awkward angle and way too low for people of average height. Often wonder if they did that on purpose to stop people hogging the demo pods!
Here in the UK I paid £10 for 2-pair of 3200mah
NiMH rechargeables for my 360 controllers. I get 30-40 hours from each charge (with rumble). Seriously, battery life and cost is just not an issue these days. Just be sure to buy decent NiMH types and not Nickel Cadmium's.
The cable shown looks like a standard DVI to HDMI cable -- nothing at all to do with the 360. GameStop are a joke.
Oblivion should really look better on the PS3 because the devs only had about 6 months to port it to the 360 before release.
And I bet Microsoft have gotten their hands on the Cell Processor and evaluated it for themselves. Corporate giants like Microsoft don't get where they are by leaving things to chance.
Considering 1080p support was only announced like a week ago, I'm not at all surprised that no games have been announced that use it yet. And if your suggesting that the 360 GPU isn't capable of delivering 1080p then think again; the on-die frame buffer of the 360 GPU allows for much higher bandwidth than that of the PS3. As for HDMI, Microsoft knew that there was no immediate need for HDMI and so decided to wait for the HDMI 1.3 specification to be finalized just like sony. And of course, wi...
Never subscribed to that less is more ethos. The longer the better as far as i'm concerned.
Think too much time staring at PS2 jaggies has knackered your eyes mate. Better get to Spec Savers.
Seems they just added a few high-resolution jpeg backdrops to try and fool the eye. Lighting seems quite nice in a few of the shots but we really need to see it moving to be sure. Have to agree with Happy Hippo and badkolo about the environments; pretty shocking.
I wouldn't read too much into these screens; graphically Forza 2 is still very early in development. I get the impression reading developer interviews and reports on forzamotorsport.net that most of their effort so far has been about getting the game running so the physics guys can get to work on fine tuning the handling characteristics. Think about it. Do the graphics team put all their effort into building a fantastic graphics engine from the outset - slowing up development and holding back...
LOL. Well said ElementX!
I agree with bladestar. There will always be plenty of people willing to pay for a premium service. By paying for Xbox Live we can demand a quality service and be confident that Microsoft will continue to invest in their network as new members join; I for one wouldn't be so confident in Microsoft's commitment to the network if they had to foot the bill themselves.
With regard to tunnelling software like XBConnect. Not only do you miss out on all the great features like game dem...
Still no DivX/XviD support. Could be worse though, PS3 only supports Mpeg 1, 2 and 4!!!
