As much as it pains me to agree with anything that comes from Juevani, I have to conceed the point about MS tech support. They are rude, ignorant and unable to resolve anything but the simplest of problems. I have been trying to get my corrupt profile (that they corrupted) recovered for about 6 weeks now and still no progress. I'm giving it another 2 weeks before i abandon the 360 and with it, console gaming altogether.
I just hope MS gets my corrupt profile problem sorted in time for this games release. This should be great fun on live.
EA was in danger of actually making a good game with this one. No wonder they panicked and pulled the plug!
US, Europe, Australia and other developing markets like india and china which have the potential to be huge. That's where MS need to conentrate their efforts. They do not need to conquer Japan to win the console war.
Surely, HD-DVD and Blu-Ray are proprietary formats. How can Warner Brothers come along and bastardize these formats for their own purposes? If anybody knows about the legal implications of this, i'd be interested to hear.
I think Dusk already addressed most of your points, except the claim that 98% of TV's don't have a VGA input. I don't know where you live, but here in the UK you'd be hard pressed to find a set that doesn't have a VGA input. It's been that way for a few years now. In fact, i'd bet my house that if i walked into PCWorld of Curries right now, i wouldn't find a single HD set that doesn't have VGA input.

Wii is gimicky and will grow old fast. PS3 is too expensive, too little and too late. 360 wins this generation whether they outsell the competition or not. What's important is that they take a bigger chunk of Sony's market share this generation. With Sony offering so much assistance, how could they fail?
In my experience, most people are coming to the conclusion that the PS3 is overhyped, over expensive and inferior to the 360 - at least in the ways that matter. Expect 360 sales to rise as MS takes a big chunk out of Sony's ass in 2007!
The PS2 is irrelevant to any serious gamer. Who wants to play low-res jaggy, washed out last-gen crud when the next generation is now.
The Wii is obviously going to sell well due to it being released on the run up to christmas. And the fact that most japanese gamers have shunned the 360 and decided to wait for Wii is certainly helping matters. I expect Next christmas will tell a very different story.

And anyone who thinks that Unreal Tournament 2007 won't come to 360 are just deluding themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if 360 is the main development platform; just like Assassins Creed.

The PS3 struggles to maintain 30fps in a typical 720p game. It's never going to achieve 1080p at 60fps unless the game is really simple.
I know the PS3 doesn't have much going for it, but why do the fanboys keep harping on about "native" 1080p, and "true HD"? The 360 also does native 1080p in games. Yes fanboys, the 360 DOES ...
I think you'll find that all the in-engine footage you've seen so far has been running on PC.
Also, you can't really believe that these PS3 screenshots do justice to the PC tech demo first shown over a year ago; the texture quality and lighting just aren't in the same league.
The original tech demo running on PC looked amazing. But they have definately downgraded those graphics since moving it to the PS3.

I'm sorry but that is absolute crap. A friend of mine is still using an old Barton 3200+ with a radeon 9800pro and Oblivion looks like total arse compared to the 360 version. To make it look anything like the 360 version reduces the framerate to about 5fps.
And this is game who's development was rushed on the 360 to meet deadlines. As opposed to the PC versi...
