Totally agree. Both the size of the competitive multiplayer and the 8 player co-op sealed the deal with me with R2. Resistance 3 had a decent single player (online co-op campaign was a nice touch), but the multiplayer was more CoD than Resistance.

Insomniac better be careful. Sony could troll them and sell the Ratchet & Clank IP to, say, Activision, which would mean Activision would own both R&C and Spyro... The 2 IPs that really made IG stand out in the 90's and early 2000's

Or better yet, make a trade with Activision. Ratchet and Clank for Crash Bandicoot. Then ND could make a new Crash

I would say they were up there with SSM and Naughty Dog in the PS2 days, but still below them. I completely forgot this until I played the Ratchet and Clank HD games, but Naughty Dog created the game engine of the Ratchet and Clank series for Insomniac.

Not sure about next gen, but Portal 2 was cross platform between PC/ Mac and PS3.

* you're

And also I'm a Sony fanboy who doesn't play CoD so none of what you said applies. Also, you didn't actually answer my question. Looks like blind rage controlled your typing.

Ugh... Could you be anymore of a Next-Gen fanboy... :-P

Things I'd remove:

-No more over the shoulder cam
-no more zombies that have guns
-no more QTE

Things I'd add:

-go back to it just taking place in just a few areas. The small confined maps of the first 3 RE games added to the sense of fear since you had very little space to escape.
-no more crazy weapons. Keep it simple so you just feel like someone trying to survive instead of feeling like Arnold Schwartzeneg...

So I'm just gonna assume you looked at my comment, perceived it as being negative, and went all Battlefield defensive. I wasn't arguing whether it's fun or not, I'm just wondering why people think the Battlefield series is realistic. If you can jump from one flying vehicle to the next (and there are several jet hijack vids on YouTube), how is it realistic? It makes the Halo series look like a documentary on space exploration. I just hate when games try to sell you on realis...

I thought this was supposed to be a realistic shooter. Congrats on the bullet drop technology, but why do people say the Battlefield series is more realistic than CoD if you can jump off a building, parachute to a flying helicopter, and then suddenly be teleported into the pilots seat and fly away? Might as well have everyone firing laser guns.

Wasn't the instrument version of Firestarter in Wipeout 2?

Same here. My legs and arms work, so I have no problem getting up to change disks from game to game.

I would hardly put counter strike on the same level at unreal or quake since counter strike is slower paced and team based. Any game where you can run around with a LMG and get all headshots while hip firing is garbage.

But you say twitch based shooters have been around forever, and that's why I'm tired of them. I've been gaming since the 80's and I remember the old original twitch shooters. I remember not worrying about where you shot your opponent because ...

Some people like twitch shooters, others like more realistic team oriented shooters. I'll take Killzone over CoD any day.

You aren't the only one. I find twitch shooters to be annoying. It's shocking (sarcasm) to see ex-infinity ward programmers staying in their safe zone and making basically CoD:Future.

The main reason I hate twitch shooters is because there's no real skill needed (if there was, professional gamers wouldn't need to add mods to their controllers.) It basically boils down to who can play the game with the stick sensitivity set the highest.

Agreed that the resolution doesn't matter, but I think your idea of beauty needs to be examined. It's running off of an old engine and graphically it's nothing crazy. It's just a very fast paced twitch shooter with mechs. I'd say if we are going to make any comparisons, you'd have to put it up against other games using the same engine.

Unnecessary... This article is about Killzone and nothing else.

More like code optimization. The amount of gigs will go up, but it won't be exponential. It will be a steady incline with KZ:SF kind of being a starting point.

You can download either the single player or multiplayer first and then download the rest while you are playing... This was shown in a video back in March.

Dude... I'm a Sony fanboy, but why bring up the PS4? The article tags are XBox One and PC. There's no reason to throw another log on the fire.
