Based on the interview, it sounds like it'll be more like Amazon's stream service then, say, Netflix. Buy or rent any game, or stream a selection like Amazon Prime.
I'm in the western suburbs of Chicago using Comcast and I get between 40-55 Mbps depending on the weather.
One of the best parts of the interview:
"The stream is instant – no downloading, no installing, no patching. You get the most up-to-date version of the game streaming to your device from our remote servers. You also get Trophies, Friends List, and other PSN features."
Now we have a face to the name.
Not true... I got a PS4 day one and I still go back to my PS3 to play The Puppeteer... Best 3D game around hands down.
"Sold to Customers" is the most important part of the sentence. None of those shipped grey area figures.
If you live in the western suburbs of Chicago, then yes, XB1's are everywhere...
The Target on North Ave in Villa Park had 9 XB1's on the shelf last week (they were spilling into the 360 area). The Walmart on Rout 83 (Kingerly Highway) had 4 XB1's on Sunday.
Instead of assuming Sony fanboys are trolling, pick up a phone and call around. XB1's aren't hard to find.
It's consumer electronics so expect TV, smartphone, tablet, maybe VR, and then PS4 sales (shipped) figures... Not to rain on any parades, it's just that what this conference has been about every year
@fendernow
Wow... Nice work... Instead of linking actual proof of XB1 outselling PS4 in an overall market, you link an article about Target and Walmarts Black Friday results. You didn't prove anything. Your one-day sales estimation article had little effect on OVERALL SALES (you know, that strange figure that the article for this comment section is about.)
The 3D in the PS4 version is way better than the 3D on the PS3... Zero graphical resolution loss!
It's not that overpriced if you consider that it's cross buy with PS3, PS4, and Vita
The main problem with all the "who outsold who" is that they jumped the gun and people reacted like they were final sales numbers.
The tone of this article screams "well... my dad can beat up your dad."
So pathetic.
Works fine for me (western subberbs of Chicago.). I'm watchin Kroll Show on netflix on my PS4 and eating dinner with my fiancée.
It's because there's another high profile game coming out on a competitor's console that the fanboys flaunt even though it's also coming out on the last gen model and on PC.
"61% is decent, but not a land slide."
It is a landslide when the second place console in the poll got 23% of the votes.
I agree with your SNES and PS2 as being top consoles if all time though. If you bought the memory boater for the Sega Saturn, it was a beast for fighting games (making them near arcade perfect). Dreamcast was also awesome, it just got crushed too soon by the PS2.
@mhunter
The point isn't whether or not it'll be a system seller for the XB1, it's that xB1 fanboys are throwing Titanfall into their lists of XB1 exclusives. If the game only launched on the XB1, then yes, it would move consoles. Unfortunately it is also being released in a console with around 80 million sold (XBox 360) and on PC (too many to put an accurate quantity on). It won't move as many XB1's as the die hard hope it will because there are alread...
Ha! The disagrees prove me right! You cowards hit disagree because you have no argument.
Anyone can play it... It's on PC and 360 also...
It's like you're waving a porter house steak in front of a homeless guy to make him jealous as he's walking into a free buffet.
I could care less about Titanfall. Before anyone can chime in and say something dumb like "but then why comment in a Titanfall article" I'm only pointing out the pathetic trend of XB1 fanboys acting like it's an XB1 exclusive.
Edited ...
That's how a lot of the Beta sign ups have been in the past. I signed up on a similar form for info on PS Allstars and I made it into the private beta.
