Yeah man. The artists who did that were Sergio Curiel and Emilio Lopez. Sergio is the STFUandPlay in-house artist so expect to see some great things from him down the line.
Actually you just proved my point.
All of those games, which were Japanese, got no free pass at all. Each and every one of them was ripped apart by journalists. Why they got flak isn't the point, the point is that Japanese games DO NOT get a free pass. If they did, none of those games you and I mentioned would have been as scrutinized as they were.
They don't get a free pass at all.

This game was kind of cool. I liked Portal better though.
Whenever I click on a story and it asks me if I want to translate it that instantly tells me that it's to be taken with a grain of salt.
I'll believe the GTAV release date when Rockstar themselves tells us what it is.
Cool.
I can understand hating on Capcom but the RE series? That doesn't make sense to me.
Day one purchase. I don't know what's with all the Resident evil hate on this comment section. RE4 was insanely awesome and so was RE5. I can't wait to play this.
Another Dynasty Warriors game? People love this series for some reason.
Awesome sauce!
I'm not really into MP only games but this seems pretty cool. Too bad it's an Xbox 360 exclusive.
This is some good stuff. Max Payne kicks ass.
ME3 had a lot more rpg elements than ME2.
The skills branched off more than they did in ME2 and the weapons and armor customization was greater than it was in ME2 as well.
ME3 wasn't as rpg heavy as ME1 but it was certainly more rpg than ME2.
Superman is my favorite super-hero but yeah, it seems almost impossible to make a really good game with him.
It's a catch 22 situation. Make him as powerful as he is in the comics and the game will be insanely easy. De-power him and you'll have angry fans screaming that he is weak. It's a no win situation.
I hope that someone can come up with clever way of making a great Superman game one day.
I'm one of the few people that liked DA2 but I do recognize its problems (repetitive dungeons, random battles ect). I'm looking forward to DA3 and since it seems like Bioware is actually taking their time with it, it SHOULD be good. We'll see.
There's a lot of games with the name "Dust" in them these days. lol
Hear hear! People need to stfu and play. Have fun with the system you own and don't worry about what machine someone else is gaming on.
Nintendo is one of the few Japanese companies to get a pass. This is true.
That's a good point. Western games aren't reviewed as critically as Japanese games are. ALL games should be reviewed critically regardless of what country they're from.
I hope this comes to other systems eventually. Rayman: Origins was a lot of fun and I imagine this one will be just as good if not better.
