Since this is a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls I'm staying as far away from it as possible. No thanks. I don't hate myself enough to play this.

Dude, I'm spending the whole weekend on this. Just hit level 21 with a Titan. Now I need to try the other classes.
I think that is what is most important. I'm having a blast and I typically don't like FPS combat. This game is fantastic and I think the foundation is solid for it to become a huge franchise this generation.
Read the editorial to get an answer to that. Don't just read the headline and go from there. The article goes into detail about how Destiny will shape the generation.
That game also has a persistent online world. We're going to see more of that this generation.
