@poos3
Because, the Cell and PC processors are different architectures. You'd be limited to either running linux or mac os, which happens to have a zero chance at having a gaming scene. Not to mention the fact the Cell cannot be commercial bought and there are no motherboards which support the Cell that are available for purchase.
I don't know where you heard IBM trying to Cell to PC manufactures, that's not true. Of course, they'd use Intel or AMD processors.
...
Your logic is amazing. So if Toshiba had used an intel q6600 processor, does that suddenly makes my PC running it a "movie machine" and not a gaming machine?
Trust me. My PC rig is much more powerful than your 360.
Edit: @Below, It was an example.
Someone doesn't know how to switch into Simulator mode.
16.2 million for the 360 is correct, as "shipped" means sold to retailers, so 1.5 million in stores around the world is believable.
Already happening:

Seems like everyone's jumping ship.
Consider this as contributing to what's wrong with this site.
Who said anything about Warner switching "out of the kindness of their hearts"
They've already stated their stance on why they've gone Blu-Ray exclusive. Maybe you should take your own advice and "educate yourself?"
That's funny, InYourMom - you seem to have no problem taking things out of context.
Just 20 minutes ago, you were in the "Warner payoff" thread talking about how the article "exposes" Sony. When in reality there's no proof of a payoff other than a flamebit title.
Guess you should have read the article and not been such a "droid?"
Maybe because there's no proof of an actual payoff such as the Paramount/Dreamworks payoff?
To break the stalemate, analysts believe the rivals offered the studio large sums of cash to release DVDs exclusively in their respective formats. One report suggested Toshiba's bid was in the area of $100-million (U.S.) while Sony's offer was closer to $400-million.
It's nothing but analyst guessing.
Btw, Motorstorm sold over a million before it was bundled...
@InYourMom, story doesn't expose anything. There's no actual proof of a pay off, read the article.
@wageslave, Because the Paramount/Dreamworks payoff was reported by respectable news, not some backwater hd-dvd fanboy blog.
"But money talks: Paramount and DreamWorks Animation together will receive about $150 million in financial incentives for their commitment to HD DVD, according to two Viacom executives with knowledge of the deal but who asked not to be identified."
Plus, what you downloaded was compressed.
Signed, lol.
Bubbles for you - I see you're back up to two! :D
edit: three! ;o
And you know what I can do *RIGHT NOW* with my PS3? Linux + MythTV.
That's right, everything that your precious "WMC Extender" has done is nothing more than a catch up by Microsoft to MythTV (mythfrontend).
I have a server setup running ubuntu with 1.5tb of storage, filled with "legal" shows/movies/etc - live tv off a tuner, etc - all that crap.
Simply installed linux on my PS3, turned on mythtv, and watched all those divx/xvid...
PSP has a stick.
Because they said they've SHIPPED 17.7 million, not SOLD.
And don't forget mesh1, it was "Sony trolls" who did 9/11, Virginia Tech, raped your mother and sister, perpetrated the holocaust/darfur/sudan, and took away your last bubble.
Watch out, there's one right behind you!
That guy looks like a pedophile :[
edit @ Baker, shut up kid. Did he and Billy tag-team molest you with a harddrive? Is that why you're so in favor of DD? (there, on topic:P)
@Jenzo, she's 19, which happens to be a +1 my age.
jaja1434, that's what PlayTV is, a way to hook up your cable/dish/ant inputs straight to the PS3. If Sony released the same upscaling software Toshiba has, it would work just nicely. Too bad it has no NA release date, so I'm screwed for now. :)
Here's a clip video clip demonstrating it: http://kotaku.com/gaming/cl...
