i don't remember people wanting the controls to mimic CoD. but i do remember the complaints that the controls were laggy and unresponsive and i agree with that, its one of the reasons i didn't like KZ2. why would i want to fight the controls while trying to relax and play?
and if you downloaded and played the beta you would know that its just another FPS. i didn't see what all the hype was about.

the fact that the review embargo was lifted, open beta released and N4G is a ps3fanboys dream come true might have something to do with that.
at the end of the day sales do matter, a whole lot. if a game doesn't muster decent sales the higher ups will start putting money elsewhere, no matter how good the graphics are or how well its received by reviewers.
