I find the lack of 3d blu-ray playback on PS4 disturbing. I hope it gets added soon otherwise I may have to put my PS3 back where it was.

That's one way to do it. But then you'd miss the experience of getting together with like minded individuals who share the same passion for your hobby as you do.
Buying online will get you that console, but it doesn't make for an interesting launch night story you will talk about for awhile afterwards.
