Agreed. Excellent game with some amazing, mind blowing graphics (the snow, underwater, and those 'suits' at the end). Still as good looking as anything else on the ps4 as far as I am concerned.
And let's throw in a good story with well written characters and an interesting setting too while we are at it ;)
Are next gen graphics all that important? The simple answer is yes, yes they are. I rest my case ;)
Interesting is a very tactful way to put it. There doesn't seem to be any weight behind the combat, it doesn't look like hits are connecting, and it just looks dated.
That stealth kill is ridiculously silly looking. They really need to go back to the drawing board with the animations or hit detection to make the combat look good. Otherwise the game looks alright, kind of dragonagey. I like the enemy designs.
@its_JEFF: You should consRider trying the physical card game it really is great. Very strategic and excellent for anyone who likes fantasy art.
The video game is a good way to learn the game but not as good As the actual card game. It'll be a shame if they don't release it on PS but no big deal.
Some doing more okay than others though. World wide sales for PS4 are just over 7 million, and only 4.2 million for xbox1. Just say'in ;)
The shooting will be good. Previews have already indicted as much and the developers worked on the Riddick Thames which had great shooting and stealth. The stealth looks cool in this game too. Watch the PlayStation access preview on you tube if you want some more info ;)
I agree, looks great. Is there a single player campaign or is it all mp and or online? Anyone know?
Sounds good to me.
With great characters and dialogue. I think that's what elevates the Uncharted games above most others when it comes to story.
Should be an easy choice.
Yes I am being purposefully ambiguous ;)
I hear you but it's actually not a bad looking cover. The new story trailer is decent too. I am really hopeful about this game.
Great cover art on the comic books.
My picks:
Child of Light
Spiderman 2 (looks good on ps4, last one was fun on ps3, basically a decent arkam city clone).
Really good review, and I agree with all of your points. The gameplay is definitely a lot smoother and great fun but the story and city are a step back from prior games. 8.5/10 from me too.
I'm glad they are focussing on single player, not enough good campaigns around these days. There is always BF4 or TF if multiplayer is a priority.
It is an awesome game worth far more than 10 dollars. Definitely give it a try. Great art design and characters/enemies, heaps of exploration, fun gameplay. One of my favourite games of last gen, my first platinum.
@pintheshadows: Exactly!
Great review. Saves me writing one as you summed up my thoughts exactly. Just wish you could play paper trail without all the computer based stuff if you wanted to. I'm not interested in that but would like to see the missions.
Extra enemy variety like in infamous one would also have helped. Still, an excellent game.
Yes, exactly. Glad someone else sees sense.
