@R6ex Definitely would include Detroit too. Highly anticipated. I also left off Nier Automata. Could probably make it a list of 10 rather than 5.
Here is a better list:
Wild
Gravity Rush 2
Nioh
Persona 5
The Last Guardian
I agree. While I am generally not a fan of twinfinite due to their ridiculous list articles where they put one point an each slide and make you click through 10 pages of advertising just to see the article, I will give credit where credit is due. Great review of an amazing game.
I have said it before and will say it again, twinfinite do this all the time. They are dodgy and I never bother with their articles because of that.
The game looks great. There are technical issues with significant pop in but the overall art style and the insane scale by far outweigh these issues.
Sad there are so many fanboys, trolls, and haters out there trying to discredit this game. It really is amazing and I am loving what I have played so far. The scale and sense of discovery is unprecedented and I can see myself putting a lot of time into it.
It's twinfinite. They do it all the time. As soon as I see their website that has posted something I don't don't bother looking anymore as they always do the same thing. Super dodgy.
I agree, especially when it comes to books.
I think the biggest issue with digital on consoles is lack of storage space with consoles generally having a measly storage capacity.
Sure. Talking about FPS's here though.
Great concept(Nectar) and fun but a bit of an iffy execution and didn't live up to its promise. I finished it at launch. Shame they didn't quite get it right.
Old school would be Wolfenstein, Doom, Hexen, Duke Nukem, and Rise of the Triad.
More recently Half-Life 2, BioShock (original), Wolfenstein the new order, Timesplitters 2, Medal of Honour.
Some personal favourites Singularity, Resistance series, Killzone Series, Bulletstorm, Dishonored.
I can think of plenty of great sci-fi games that are all must plays in my opinion.
In addition to Mass Effect trilogy and Dead Space, there is Vanquish, Binary Domain, Remember Me, Red Faction Guerrilla, Killer is Dead, Space Marine, Enslaved, Bulletstorm, Alien Isolation, or The Technomancer(haven't played it yet though).
Really looking forward to No Man's Sky though.
Big agree. Hotline is best on the Vita with some headphones. The touch screen and OLED screen are a great match for the game. It is better than on consoles due to the better control layout/touchscreen.
It's a so so list, pretty subjective.
Some of my favourite vita games are:
Gravity Rush
Shinobido 2
Persona 4 Golden
Lumines
Hotline Miami
Oddworld Stranger's Wrath
Ratchet and Clank Collection
Jak and Daxter collection
All great games. I finished them all multiple times at release and am re-playing all three currently. Awesome style, and great replayability.
I am looking forward to let it die but am still disappointed that it isn't Lily Bergamo.
Gameplay is great in his games. Varied and fun. Some people just don't take the time to learn the nuances, and button mash their way through them.
I have just been re-playing both of those games in the past 2 weeks. They are still great.
Just buy a ps3 or 360. They are super cheap now and so are the games on them.
I'm a huge ratchet fan but resistance series should be in there. Sunset Overdrive too.
I thought resistance 3 was better than resistance 2. Otherwise not a bad list.
May not be for everyone but it's definitely for me. I can't get enough of this game. I'm still struggling to comprehend the scale. It's amazing.
The sense of discover keeps me hooked and now I'm starting to get some good upgrades and a better understanding of the alien languages it's just getting more interesting to play.
