Marvel Pinball will suffice, but it will never beat the feeling of playing an actual pinball machine. Good stuff regardless.
Still not sure if I'm getting Madden for my PS3 this year because I know it's more of the same, but I would never spend money on a Wii version. Played it with a friend last year and it was awful.
Wii does have Madworld. Unfortunately, that's the only one I can think of off the top of my head, and the repetitive controls got to me midway through the game.
I want to play this so bad and would prefer to not have to result to "stealing" the game to do it.
Couldn't agree more. For a company that caters to the casual gaming market, I've seen very little mention of 3DS outside of circles where gaming discussion is common.
I'm still on the fence about this one. It doesn't sound like a lot of the negatives from last year's installment were fixed, so I have to wonder how different the experience will be.
If you're into JRPGs it is.
I feel like a jerk because no matter how awesome I think it is that Xenoblade Chronicles is doing well, it's overshadowed by how lame I think it is that the game isn't being brought to North America.
I really hope you mean ex-roommate. If anyone messes with my gaming stuff, especially on purpose, there's going to be problems.
Good list, although I'm going to have to join the others who disagree on Fallout 3. I spent a ton of time exploring the Capital Wasteland before I even got far into the game's main story because I found the environment so engaging. Yeah, it's bleak, barren, and filled with more shades of grey and brown than you knew existed, but it does a great job of establishing a world ravaged by war. The long stretches of nothing make it so much more satisfying when you discover a new location...
I have want to have faith in Wii U, but until I learn more about it and what games it's going to have I don't know what to think. Wii had such great sales and cornered a huge amount of the casual gaming audience that it's hard to think Wii U couldn't be successful, but after the problems Nintendo has had selling 3DS, who knows? I agree better advertising and first party titles are key. Maybe we'll hear something new at Gamescom.
Sounds like a huge contrast to the games I've been playing lately. Might give it a shot when it's on Steam later this month.
Caught myself looking at Operation Flashpoint: Red River the other day, but at that price Dragon Rising sounds awesome. Being different from CoD/Halo is a huge selling point for me. Not knocking either, but I'm getting worn out on that style of shooter.
So happy to see the DK snowboarding level from Mario Kart Wii not make the list. It's one of my most hated levels in that game, but everyone and their mom votes for it when you play online. Walrus Cove from DRK however was amazing.
Mario Kart Wii is one of the only Wii games where I was impressed with its online mode. I agree with some of the complaints about it, but the fun I had with it makes it impossible for me to be disappointed with it.
Didn't realize the demo for this came out today. I know what I'll be doing when I get back home tonight. Everything about this game seems so unique that I'm excited to experience it, even if its only in demo form.
There's so many games I need to buy, but almost every review I read for Shadows of the Damned makes me put it closer to the top of my list.
Donkey Kong 64 and Perfect Dark would make me a happy guy.
Giving someone crap for helping you out? Kind of absurd. If this article describes the state of MMOs, I'm glad I haven't gotten into them. I though teamwork was supposed to be part of the appeal.
Good argument. I wasn't impressed by the games Nintendo offered in the Ambassador program because they're games I've played countless times before, as have my other gamer friends. Something to keep in mind though, is that Nintendo products tend to attract a younger crowd and casual audience in a way competitors don't. While most people reading this have played LoZ and Yoshi, younger kids and people who aren't that invest in gaming probably haven't. It's easy for us...
