I'm not a huge fan of the bullet hell, but this looks pretty unique.
Solid review. I like how it has a good score, but also shows how it's really only for fans of the series or the genre.
Makes me want to play it, actually. And I REALLY don't like sports, or sport games. Great review.
My favorite arcade was the one at the end of the Space Mountain ride at Disneyland. Star Wars, Tron, Tempest, Dig Dug! YES.
Is Dave n Busters any good? I've never been, living in a town without one. Seems kinda weird, to me.
OMG really? Gah! Dinosaurs AND Hitler! How could it go wrong?
it's gonna be an interesting fight, for sure. I can't wait until they put that baby on iOS.
it has plenty of games, many of them iOS ports. Also they're hard to find because the marketplace is really fragmented.
I'm thinking you mean FF3, right?
exactly. It's a great platform for all kinds of gaming, and it's always with you. the game-only portable devices are still gonna be powerfuller and better for just plain gaming.
*yes, I made up a word. sue me.
Ugh, are you kidding? Have you tried one? There's about 6 games, all of them pretty lame and casual, even the Crackdown one. Katamari is already on iOS, anyway. The connection to XBLA is cool, but the games are not. There's a lot farther to go with that OS.
Excellent review. Well written and thoughtful!
Mashups rock. Add videogames? Instant win.
I dunno. I'm still on the "3DS is stupid" side of the fence. gah.
No wonder folks are listening to this one like crazy...
Just kidding, Blake.
This seems like such a "game of yesterday," though it's still crazy hawt in terms of how it looks.
I honestly don't care much at all about the 3DS.
I went to an amazing panel at GDC that was full of great game designers who said, basically - look, there are crap games on EVERY generation of hardware, and social games are just another platform. There are crap games, and there are great games, and they allow great game developers to make a living at doing what we want them to do - make great games. I don't think social games mean the doom of consoles, any more than the Wii meant the doom of PC gaming. There's plenty of room and spa...
This is why GamesAreEvil is a cut above - thoughtful, informed feature articles like this one.
This is not a game I'd every buy. I'd still not buy it, to be honest.
