They still have to stand up and move, though, and there is actual physical co-ordination involved. It's completely different from E-"sports".
Actually, I just thought of a great idea. If they put sarcastic quotation marks around 'sports' in 'E-"sports"' then I think that'd be acceptable. It would cleverly reflect the mental maturity of the competitors and spectators as well.
It's Pay2Play AND Pay2Win. Pretty disgusting, but I hear it's fun, so I guess if people are enjoying it then that's not terrible.
Video games aren't sports, and people who play them aren't athletes. Change it to E-Competition or something that makes actual sense.

I saw a Reddit post last week about some wanker talking about his 8-year-old kid playing Fortnite. Terrible parents don't care about age ratings.
That being said, it isn't the publisher's job to censor content, it's the parent's job to keep mature content out of the hands of children.

@Madmoose I've never been able to understand why Master Chief is as iconic as he is. His design isn't unique at all, he's just a generic space marine. I guess there's just nothing else of note to represent XBox.
