I enjoyed DOA Xtreme 2, and I will likely enjoy Xtreme 3 too. So what if the content offends a minority of individuals? Creative freedom of expression is something that shouldn't be censored because of others complaining. There's nothing forcing these SJWs to buy or even play the game.

It didn't mean anything to me when my original PS3 had backwards compatible, and it sure as heck wouldn't matter one bit if PS4 had bc. If I had a X1 the bc wouldn't mean anything to me either.
It's not a feature I'd use, nor particularly want tbh. I've my old consoles and favourite games on standby if I get an urge to go retro.
Unfortunately there's nothing enticing enough to warrant another console. PS4 and PC do me just fine.
Wonder what'll happen if PS4 sales of RotTR totally eclipse X1 sales. Be interesting to see what SE do for the next game in terms of exclusivity deals etc

I'm simply trying to explain the state of review scores these days. They're automatically given 7-10 just because they're AAA etc.
Back in the day scores we're distributed quite well. A 5 is average, 10 exceptional. The in-between scores are either above or below par. Simple as that.

Well said! The scoring scale for AAA titles seems to only be 7-10 these days. A 5.5 is perfectly acceptable, shows its above average yet not perfect. It's time all titles, regardless of developer or publisher or budget get treated to a proper score system. Imo.

Review scores are somewhat meaningless in this modern age. Pretty much all AAA titles are guaranteed a score between 7-10, and any less attracts the wrath of fanboys. Its easy to see why Eurogamer moved away from a numerical scoring system for games.
OT: It's an opinion piece article. If the author felt Halo 5 was a step back, then by his opinion hes right.
The only PS gamer the article quotes or even refers to is the author himself.
I'm a PS gamer yet I'm not jealous. I can happily wait for it to hit my console of choice. In the meantime I've Fallout and countless others to keep me busy.
It's changed because they're now owners of the console in second place. Last gen almost every Xbox fan was constantly slating the ps3, now suddenly they're claiming those 'victories' they claimed last gen are meaningless. Hypocrisy at its finest.
