Well my girlfriend is also a gamer. And she is really good at Mario Kart, far better than me in fact. So when I lose to her in Mario Kart I don't see myself losing to a woman, I see myself losing to a more skillful Mario Kart player. That's it.
I don't see why people make such a big deal about gamers gender. In the end of the day we are all gamers and gender shouldn't matter.

The article talks about the similarities how both companies started and how both companies are lucky for ethier Disney and Sony that own ethier Pixar and ND give them time to create whatever they want, without pressuring them with a release date and forcing them to change their projects.
I'm amazed that pokemon is not included on the list. It's a jrpg with a lot complexity and depth while also being by far the most accessible for beginners.
