The writer complains of a lack of the camera despite buying (as he said the basic bundle which is the cheapest SKU on the market). If you want a camera buy one - it's still going to be more cost effective than the One (from a hardware standpoint).
The only actual issue he raised was his console making more noise than it should and from that he says the experience has been a little disappointing?
Oh and he mentions the UI (in a positive manner) for a brief...
Personally I found the parents, desperate to make their child's Xmas, far more frenzied than us gamers ;)
Imagine being an ASDA employee and being told your pre-order has been taken for launch day stock as they'd prefer a regular sale to a staff-discounted one.
I checked their website (around an hour ago) and they still have bundles in stock but it's the mega versions (near enough £600).
I understand it's his job to "sell" the console, but what he is saying goes way beyond classic salesman chat and is downright lies. If you put that in an advert you'd be looking at fines.
They noted in the review that the One had some great concepts. The reason for the lower score is that, due to it's "all in one" approach, it doesn't accel in any area and several features are, as of yet, not fully realised.
And to be honest, games freezing and crashing whilst using the snap feature is a serious flaw. One MS can fix, but right now it's a flaw.
Harmless fun in my eyes, but it's never fun when something you're looking forward to is delayed so MS fans in Holland have my sympathies.
I honestly believe if EA hadn't released BF4 in such a mess they could have made serious ground on CoD as the gulf between the two games (when they both work) is becoming a joke.

I suspect the two parties have agreed in principle, but they're still sorting out the last parts of the deal, thus Crash is still Activision's property.
No smoke without fire and TV ad combined with Activision's "no comment" amounts to a lot of smoke.
Both console will have issues out of the gates. Having said that, one console may well have more issues than the other. The problem is identifying the severity of said issues whilst trying to sift through the array of false "reviews".
First off, I never said his behaviour was acceptable - it's not. Second, yes it's sexual harassment but it's not sexist. People throw such words around without the slightest thought to the damage it actually does. He's just as much of clown around men as he is women - which defeats the sexism part of the article.
Just seems the author misses the point of his own crusade.
Can understand the point of the article, but don't see why they're dropping the sexism line yet again - it's not sexist as he is just as profane around males.
Both consoles will be on the market for 10+ years so both will have their games (though personal preference plays a huge part in this) but right now it's as simple as buying the more powerful car with the lower price tag.
Unfortunately the game will still sell a huge amount of copies. Until CoD fans vote with their wallets, Activision and the development teams will have no real reason to seriously upgrade the game.
Really looking forward to this one - MMO meets FPS.
Sadly, until gamers in their masses stop buying the series and force the devs to actually upgrade the game, they will continue to make minute changes and offer them up as something new and innovative.

I do play Battlefield quite a bit too but it's hard to tear the friends away from CoD ha.

And that's part of the reason why competitive CoD (prior to Black Ops 2) really struggled as a pro FPS. Corner camping was viable. In games such as Halo where more shots are required, and a greater degree of gunskill is too, the tactic is less used.
Great game, when it works. So far, I've had no problems with the multiplayer at all, but I've lost my campaign data twice so my advice to anyone playing that would be to backup your save file.
