I don't think the PS3 has a 'minimum 10 year' life span nor will it 'sell like the PS2 did.

Ah yes, everyone anticipating features that are possible on today's PCs. Stupid consoles put a 3-5 year chain on graphics/hardware technology/progression. Thats why I love PC, there is no 'next gen'--its progressive. Fanboys go on about 'expensive upgrades etc. My GPU setup will last at least 3-4 years.

Skyrim for me. Gears needs to mix things up a little IMO--story got a little dry in GOW 2 as did the gameplay. Just me. For the record, I felt the gameplay in Uncharted got a little repetitive in #2 but was redeemed with a good story. Maybe pop-and-shoot-games are not my thing...

Mass Effect, IMHO, is over-rated. Good games, but simply don't deliver given their environment. I'd like to see Bethesda do a Mass Effect game--they know how to do content/depth. If I have a galaxy to explore, I want more than linear, enclosed maps and scanning planets for minerals. Like teh characters/story/graphics--but its missing the expected scope for me.
Skyim/Halo 4 were my favorites.
Yes you can expect those features. Every Halo title has been packed with content. We'll find out more as the year progresses.
