It will not be a playstation exclusive, as the IP went multi-platform. Read back about the details, Rising was not a temporary multiplatform test. The IP, is now widespread just like GTA.
For me Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was one of the best games ever made, the story was so well-written. I liked MGS4, just not as much. In my opinion, MGS5 MUST have solid snake/david hater otherwise it won't be the same...sort of like Two and a Half Men sans Charlie Sheen....
Great game, although I enjoyed Alan Wake's story more. Cage did Indigo Prophecy, which was essentially Heavy Ran for last gen consoles and it was also very good. Looking forward to Heavy Rain 2!
Only an idiot or someone who doesn't play games would ask themselves "why should I care?" when it comes to The Elder Scrolls....
That was my opinion, not fact. Well, aside from the fact all fanboys are pathetic; but that was stating the obvious.
Looks like old Half-life content. I look at it this way:
1. If it is a canceled project, it was for some retarded hand-held game.
2. If that's the case, shame on them for letting that nonsense take up time that could have been spent delivering HL3.
I hope they are taking this long because they are indeed developing the new source engine/HL3. That'll be worth the wait, as it was with HL2. I'm hoping its not another painfully brief-...
Nevermind the PC tags, mods should ditch the fanboys. Oh, but wait, then the site would be better...
Getting it for my PC, for obvious reasons. Hoping the Witcher 2 is as good or better than the first, as I will use that to sharpen my rpg-skills for ESV lol
Playstation Fan: "What a stupid fanboy! He clearly is an xbot." "There is nooooooo way a multiplate looks as goods as a PS exlclusive!" Because, the PS3 is soooooo powerful! ISn't it? "
You guys are all 'fanboys'. Frankly, fanboys of aged hardware that's pathetic to today's computers. Killzone 1,2 and 3 are all very average shooters that put the computing power to the foreground and sacrifice the backround (like all aged hardware ...
Really? Then I retract my words--because they really do own the genre. Helps to research I guess...
AH, good to be a PC Gamer. While the kids argue which console-pocket calculator is more powerful, we're enjoying titles that came out four years ago that look better than today's console games. Looking forward to Skyrim, Deus X, Diablo III and Rage to name a few....
Actually, Indigo Prophecy did this first. It was also a better game. Heavy Rain was simply Indigo Prophecy next gen. Heavy Rain looked amazing, but due to the fact it had static scenes and a whole slew of smoke and mirror tactics. I would happily play Heavy Rain 2. I don't' agree with his claims, but these are expected from a Sony-exclusive game maker. The company is known for delusional and arrogant claims. If you haven't played Indigo Prophecy, check it out--well worth it, as ...
@ Persistantthug/any other delusional people.
I'd just like to say first I am a PC gamer, but grow tired of delusional fanboys.
1. The Xbox franchise is not in trouble. "Second fiddle"? Better than being 3rd fiddle like the Playstation. Xbox took playstation's spot with only it's second hardware iteration, and will be a mega-contender for generations to come. Its ahead of Sony for a reason.
2. Xbox is not going 'casual'...
Crysis 1 looks better than Killzone 1,2 AND 3. Crysis was out in 2007....'nuff said. Like I've said a millions times, the consoles are equal in power. Personally, I found Killzone to be a very average shooter. I'm getting this game for my PC.
Sony simply invests more in their 1st party titles, hence the higher # of quality titles. The kids on this site compare specs of the two machines and simply think a higher number = better performance. When all is said and done, the PS3 and Xbox are equal in power. Alan Wake exemplifies best that the 360 is equally up to the task.
I don't particularily care for the consoles, but can't stand Playstation fan's sense of entitlment and delusions of 'untapped power...
Who would get this game for consoles anyways? Part of the fun of crysis/cryteck engine is the gorgeous graphics which will inevitably be downgraded to run on consoles. Although, the first Crysis still has the most bells and whistles compared to Warhead and Crysis 2. Anyone else think Warhead looked like crap compared to Crysis 1?
...Basically, if its a Playstation game, it should have won the awards...Ugh, the number of kids on this site is sickening.
Personally, I like the original list better. While I enjoyed God of War III, I felt it was more of the same and brought little new to the table aside from beefier graphics. More of the same. Assassin's Creed is the better choice IMO.
Alan Wake should have won something here. The story, again IMO, was superior to that of Heavy Ra...
The focus on next consoles should be on Solid State Drives (SSD) not blu ray format. I will take loading off a SSD with multiple disks over blu-ray any day. Consoles will always thrive as they are more accessible to the greater croud financially, usually withing 600-700 dollar range on launch.
This is partially why I switched from consoles to PC. Updated tech, best graphics, most customizable...list goes on. Still have both consoles for Halo, Gears, Uncharted, God of War, MG...
I like how Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots made the install times cool, with snake smoking a cigarette.
There is no reason why other games can't add little mini-games or something to make the install times better.
This is the downside of Blu-Ray and the equalizer: it comes down to install times or a 10-sec disk swap. I feel blu-ray is a more impressive data format when it comes to movies, not so much games. Despite popular belief, all of play stat...
5. Halo is an amazing franchise, get over it.
6. Uncharted 2/3 is the best looking CONSOLE game when it comes to graphical realism. Heavy Rain does not count for technical reasons I will not bother getting into. People that know anything about software/hardware will understand.
7. Halo still is the best console-exclusive selling title day one. The ones that broke records are multi-plats.
8. Blu-Ray allows for more space=more game data. What i...
