Why does that even matter? Let people do what they want, I've spent pretty much solid days on games in the past, and I have no regrets because I thoroughly enjoyed those games.

Sorry to say this man but you're really holding onto false hope lol.

@MrEnglish

I suggest you have a good look at the PS2, very little competition there and it was some of the best years for gaming.

And look at my other comment relation to DLC and timed deals. That is not something that Sony started. Stop being quick to call someone a fan boy, usually people who do that are fan boys themselves.

@zeref

To compete with Microsoft, yes they do. But securing exclusive & timed content is something Microsoft had made popular starting with the 360.

Lol. This dude really gives Microsoft fans a bad name.

3754d ago 22 agree5 disagreeView comment

Yes because Sony is taking advantage of us so much lol. I'd be happy if Xbox packed up and went away from the console market, no more silly timed deals on games and DLC.

Sony monopolising the market isn't bad thing. I miss the days of the PS2, when there were no shoddy exclusive deals for scraps of content to one up each other, Sony not having to bring over a lot of these boring FPS games to satisfy certain fans. The only good thing about the competition with Microsoft is that PSN might not be where it is today without Xbox Live. But I for one wouldn't mind at all if Microsoft exited the console market.

Rachet & Clank looks pretty decent. I know what you mean, unfortunately most triple A games are multiplatform and run better on PC.

I get what you're saying but you need to realise that Microsoft are giving people less reason to get an Xbox One since its creating more options for potential fans. Xbox One hardware sales will substantially suffer here and eventually support for it will slow or stop because it just won't be profitable for them.

I see a lot of 7/10s or lower for lack of content. I wait before buying now to see if the content will be there.

3755d ago 2 agree3 disagreeView comment

What are you talking about? PlayStation 2 was probably the best era for gamers, and there wasn't exactly much competition there.

I'd love Microsoft to exit the console market, I think it would encourage more games and innovation from developers.

Erm perhaps people who don't want to continuously fork out more money, perhaps people who already own a PC which would make the Xbox almost obsolete?

I genuinely think most people would rather stick to the fixed hardware, and the reputable PS brand.

3758d ago 4 agree2 disagreeView comment

Yep. Couldn't agree more. PS4/PC combo is all I need.

It's about losing potential customers. I was seriously considering picking up an Xbox One when Quantum Break releases, having that now on PC is great news, and Microsoft lost themselves a sale. I have played Dead Rising, and Ryse and Titanfall, and I got Rise of the Tomb Raider free with my new graphics card. Having Forza on PC is very welcome.

3761d ago 4 agree4 disagreeView comment

You're missing the point I think.

What this does do is make the Xbox One more or less obsolete to anyone who has a half decent PC, which is probably a lot of people. I fall into that category, I now have almost no reason to get an Xbox One since I have a PS4 and a PC.

This sort of thing Microsoft are doing with Windows will pretty much kill the Xbox brand.

3761d ago 17 agree8 disagreeView comment

Dude, what on earth are you talking about? Damage control what lmao?

You're trying to make an issue out of something that isn't there, it's kind of silly.

Bigpappy

Well I'm certainly a winner since I have a PC and a PS4, so now I don't have to fork out any money for an Xbox One to play it's exclusives.

This certainly isn't good news at all for the Xbox brand if true.

Lol Titanfall sold over 10 mill, even though Halo 5 barely sold 3 million copies? Good stuff.

Congratulations.

Yep. Pretty sure Activision would probably counter with a new Modern Warfare. Plus, Call of Duty isn't even competing with Battlefield, two different groups of people with Call of Duty also being far more popular.

I for one would hate another WW1/WW2 game, it has been done so many times and it is so limited in what you can do. A new modern game would be great.
