As we all know, its software that drives a console past initial early adoption. That being said, Nintendo is by far the worst in this area, and needs to prove to me otherwise before I get sucked in.
I regretted buying the Gamecube, and later regretted buying the Wii. Never again.
I hate GT. I mean, don't get me wrong GT2 was one of my all-time favorites, but its outdated now. I have played both games and prefer Forza. I hate how GT forces you to meet requirements to move on. I can race any car in Forza (given I have the cash) at any time. Not only that, but the regular cars in GT5 piss me off. All the time spent creating this game, and there's only 200 premium cars? I can race from the cockpit, aesthetically change and bust up every car in Forza. Which is a lo...
I loved the demo, and I can see where the comparisons to Diablo come from.
This game isn't going to be for everyone. You're in control of battle direction, but not actual moves. Much like the point and click system found on PCs, or in most MMOs. If you don't think you'd enjoy that, skip it.
...this is what gaming needs. Wouldn't it be nice to have an intense round of GoW, and think to yourself, "Man, I need something to chill out." This could be that something. There's no overt threat of dying. There's no bomb getting ready to blow. It's just mindless, simple fun, but still odd enough to keep it interesting and less kiddy.
...has already said that the characters are more life-like than in any other game they have played. Most of HS's moments of conversation are done in CGI. I'd be ashamed if they didn't look better.
I give props to PS3 where it's due (Uncharted), but Mass Effect's conversation system is amazing.
Why does everyone forget about Final Fantasy, MGS, God of War, Gran Turismo and the like? These are highly rated, million-selling franchises. To think Sony will completely tank is absurd.
I don't hear much of this talk from other devs. We all know the ports are worse on the PS3. But, to say that all of the exclusives will suck? That's too far. We know better than that.
The only reason the 360 is the lead console for multiplats is because of development ease and install base. I only own the 360 now, but will be getting a PS3 when they turn it around. And, they will. I speak nothing but truth.
It was first shown on an Xbox 360 at E3 2006. Way before the PS3 even came out. It had a different name at the time, but if you research it you'll find it. Just look under Assasin's Creed news on any game site.
I fell off of the AC bandwagon long ago.
I can only imagine. As if his regular life isn't odd enough.
...this will be a great game. They're only jealous because all of their games are flopping.
Reading comments on this site, I'd swear half of you are only 12 yrs. old. I may only have a 360 now, but I'd be a fool to believe that the PS3 will never have a good game. Not with MGS4 and FFXIII on the horizon. Sure, it's missing out now, but you better believe that will change. I won't pay that much for one, but I'd like to have one someday. Just give the insults a rest.
I've always admired Suda's work. I'm interested to see what they have in store for the 360. He's always had a distinct art style, and I would love to see how that translates with more powerful hardware.
...fanboys like secret think we want to read their trash-talk? It's irrelevent to the article. Try saying something that has anything to do with the topic for a change.
This is about Halo 3. Not whether or not the 360 can do hi-def and such. Which it does by the way. It has nothing to do with format.
...it doesn't exude massive amounts of power. Battlefield 1942 is like a four year-old game with 64-player battles and more detailed environments. I wouldn't try to use Warhawk for power "ownage". Heavenly Sword has nice character models and visuals, but the AI sucks. Not to mention it's too short and repetetive.
I'm tired of excuses. Let's see some results.
It's not like there are 13 of them.
Halo was a planned trilogy for the sake of telling the story.
The fact that the core gameplay has remained the same is a good thing.
Why fix it if it isn't broken?
We all know how well that faired for DMC2.
However, I don't see either as the franchise to garner massive PS3 sales. The PS3 needs MGS4 and GT:5, and it needs them right now. Those are the system sellers. Those are the "killer apps".
You can link anything that isn't outside activity with child obesity. T.V., Action Figures, Doll Houses, Legos, Play Dough, etc...
Anything that means kids are just sitting inside all day.
The McDonalds doesn't help either.
...it's from an official site. If it was the official Sony site or Xbox.com, I would have believed it. But, coming from a fanboy site? Never.
I love how Nintendo fans make the exact same arguments every time. Wait until Zelda. Wait until Mario. Wait until...
They always tell us to wait and see, but nothing ever happens. Nintendo failed to cater to the core players last gen, and payed dearly for it.
Anyone who had one (that isn't jaded) sold theirs long ago. Mine collected dust for months before I called it quits. I've owned every Nintendo since the NES, and I'm done with them. I don...
