Gears 3 looks really great it is without doubdt up there with the best on consoles.
The most noticeable difference is the free 3rd person camera view.
they also had some extra sort of mini game modes.
Like extra arcade type missions.
I like the XMB for its cleaness and simplicity.
Impossible to get lost.
But I wish it had more features, customization and details.
People on here have tons of good ideas like hiding or removing sections of the XMB, having a new or just a simplyfied ingame interface without all the bullshit you cant use anyways.

I though DF was the first game that really proved something about ps3. Hell DF still looks stellar to this day. Great game on many levels dude.

The difference in the screens of this (or most curent) software is big but its not worth the jump based on that.
What does make the jump worth it as I see it is the potential of the current High end hardware which is about 10 times as powerful as the 7th gen consoles.
It is much more capable than people think.

Nvidia GTX 580 is more than 10 times as powerful as either the Ps3 or 360 GPu's.
And Xenon VS Ivy bridge... well I call that annihilation, though it is hard to get some real numbers on performance for atleast the I7... It is safe to assume it to is atleast 10 times more power...

Lighting plays a huge role of making this franchise tense and horrifying.

Not like the sticks suck... but yeah improvement can be made still.
Just saying they are the about the Best sticks on any controller, maybe execpt the Razer Onza.
Slightly more elevated than say 360 sticks, easy to accuratily steer, high resolution and smaller deadzone than most controllers.
Its texture could be improved for some better grip, though Ive never slipped on the sticks.

A regular fan could do well for some just moving the air better around your entertainment electronics, since most of the time it is put up against a wall.

Yes, that is true, they do cost that much at retail.
But After 4 or so years they will be really cheap.
And consoles always have a somewhat consistent price after a certain period of time anyway.

Same thing goes for CPU's.
SSD, regular mid range SSD's are 2-5 times faster than HDD's, and more reliable to.
Ram is dirt cheap they can easily afford to give us 8 GB DDR3 2000MHz main system memory in between 2012 and 13.

If MS decide that the next xbox will be BD compatible and maybe even use it as game format then they can, but I kind of doubt it.
PC games are all still printed on to DVD's, just maybe (Im not sure) but it may got something to do with MS.
I think ps3 can play all major formats except MKV.

I have a Logitech F540 already.
Its awesome.
Apart from somewhat distortion it is absolutely perfect.
Its not Bluetooth or surround compatible but it delivers amazingly good sound for being wireless.
Nothing really beats a wired headset, but for gaming or watching a movie late at night from the couch, nothing beats a wireless headset.
I rarely use the headset during daytime. only if Im in a chat really.

Most things are better looking than U2 mp retail build ATM.
Better characters, better lighting, better texture detail, AA, animations and effects.
However there is a lot of noticeable flat geometry still and blurred out textures here and there.
So hopefully the retail build will look even better, less blurred textures and richer geometry where it now looks all flat or really edged like.
