The XMB/software dev team should get their shit together there is so much that can be done and yet anything significant rarely happens, and havent happened for like 1-2 years exept cloud storage Imo which I can understand being a + feature only since its an extra service, but Auto trophy sync is basically a software/socia...
During most of the game you are free to go around and explore the locations or scenes as you want.

Well, we have yet to see how polished and fine tuned the game is, as far as graphics go its not very good looking. But the studio behind it is rather small and still manages to pull off a deep and realistic game in some respects.
I think a picky mix between Killzone 2 and RO2 would potensially be the best shooter experience EVER.

I agree, Infamous is a really moody/artistic game and what would be more awesome than feeling like all the powers are like if you were in a movie or in real life?
Infamous is a title wich would really be able to impress at first sight! Physics, destruction, animation, particles, lighting etc...
It would be perfect for showing the horsepower in a new system!
So in that sense Infamous would make sense as a launch title.
I dont think Carmack ever mentioned anything about full install on Ps3. He did say the game is the same size on both PS3 and 360, and HDD space is not a problem for ps3.
Just saying PS3 users should have that option too.

Mobile devices will never be better than stationary computers/consoles.
At some point they are bound to outdo a certain console or hardware setup.
But I have yet to see a mobile device to completely outdo the 6 year old 360 in performance and potensial... let alone ps3.
Im sure they'll get there within 2 years, but the upcoming consoles will likely be 15 - 20 times more powerful than ps3 or teh superior ...
Im pretty sure Sony wont buy any of these studios anytime soon.
They got their exclusive deals and great buddies out there like Insomniac and Kojima.
I think they should worry more about their TV's (They got trouble with making money on their bravias or so I heard) and as for Playstation they should focus on supporting what they got already and developing (future) hardware.

Sounds a bit like dumbing down a major OS platform and making the console more of an allround purpose system to run all possible 3rd party software applications and having pc functionality.

Having extended functionality and 3rd party apps doesnt need to be a bad thing, but consoles always had limited resources and got to maintain a certain performance and reliability.
IT will be a mess, and the consoles lifecycle will have to be shortened,...
Facial capture isnt that great, the heads look detached from their bodies and environments.
Full body capture working in the same way might work though.
Blur can be both good and bad, but fluid transitions between cut scenes and gameplay is always ace!
Move Only titles can be cool. Sorcery looked awesome.
Im most interested in core titles though.
Thats where the move shine, I dont have one yet but it is responsive and accurate. its a controller with buttons!, with gyrosensing, a camera that tracks your movement of a lit up ball on the controller, a Mic, rumble, trigger and the chuck controller got a analog(you can use a DS3 instead of the chuck = awesome).

Models and textures look great, but I think they still need to add a few things.
Loks kind of dull, but thats not to say that the level of detail in geometry isnt leaps and bounds ahead the competition. that is if this can even run in real time.
Needs some more lively effects Id say.
Looks good to me, ADS could be done differently and fixing the assist bug and pherhaps an option to not use the assist at all.

I believe that is bullshit, the xmb is quite a hog at resources (id softwares J. Carmack said so)
And with some code optimazation and a redesign a lot of memory would be freed up.
I think ps3 would be that much more awesome if it gets:
XGC voice messages.
A deep notifican app.
A stable up to date WEB browser.
Redesigned XMB and more customazation, maybe more streamlined interface...
