But to address your other statements, of course scores don't matter as stand alones, but to some, they're very telling if we're going to compare games. You guys are just letting them speak for the sake of the argument (or at least Colbert is, as he admittedly disagrees with the score), so why should I not defend the scoring system for the same sake of the argument?

Besides, when the PS2 came out there were better DVD players, and ones that were just as cheap, and a lot of people bought it as their first DVD player. So your logic fails even if you're not lying.

It's simply a different reviewer. If that was the way it worked, then EGM's scores would have counted 3 times and Famitsu's 4 times since they are 3 and 4 different reviewers respectively, as is the case with FailuReactor.
What about their Credibility? I know credibility means nothing in your book since you put everything 360 in a positive light and viceversa for PS3 (I wonder if you said the same about Halo STD reviews; then again, you didn't), but that's an important trait every reviewer must have if they wanna be taken seriously. Obviously Gamereactor just wanted hits since their credibility was impossible to recover.
We only need ONE, and even that one doesn't need to be credible. It's like counting Famitsu's review as 4 because it's 4 different reviewers, or 3 for EGM. Why not count the second opinion too anyway? If everything counts, then it's *everything*.

THey paid for games to make use of those features because they're confident that their product is the best for DirectX 11 and feel they have the advantage over nVidia and that gamers would choose them, so by having games supporting DX11 early they get to push more hardware earlier.
Then again, I am not so sure that it is confidence in that they are better, but more likely, that their product is already out the gates and supporting DX11, so they'll have a few months with no compe...

The PS Motion wand sucks as is, they should change it to the way he is suggesting, that's exactly what I was thinking before and probably what many other gamers did. No backwards compatibility is a major turn off.
