If it manages to capture the feeling I had whilst playing (experiencing) Demon's Souls I'll be very happy.

Yes, Like you I am stoked for this game, it looks awesome and from what I hear, plays awesome too. Saying that, I'm really looking forward to Dead Island 2 as well.

Really. PS4 is actually a great piece of kit. Small, cool, powerful games console. And FW 2.0 will bring lots of nice updates too. No, there's lots to feel good about the PS4, it really is pretty awesome and I love hearing about ex xbox owners loving it too.

It's all about MS saving face. Poor Phil, I wonder what goes on in MS towers behind closed doors, less smiling that's for sure.
I doubt they'd nerf the PS4 version purely because they'd look like idiots if they did. Personally I doubt we'll be seeing 1080p on either console, especially the XB1 with the PS4 nosing ahead as usual.
You had to be there! it reminded me of the Japanese versions of films like The Ring, Grudge. Only the Japanese can do scary scary!
Perhaps it's a hint that the full game isn't going to be a PS4 exclusive? I'm guessing MS are slapping wads of cash down on the table as I type and then a few more to make it an XB1 exclusive, now that would be scary!!

I'd guess around 6 - 8 times more powerful myself.
One thing Id love to know is now much more powerful the Jaguar CPU in PS4/XB1 than the CELL in the PS3.
This is the game I'm most looking forward to in the mental post xmas early 2015 release schedule. It looks fantastic, just the sort of game I enjoy. And yes, I enjoyed the Dead Island games too, warts and all.
Surely that's a game crying out for a HD remake.

MS took one of Sony's most Iconic characters off them, it's an act of war, a warning. The congratulations from Phil is just another warning that they will take more off them. Of course. Sony know what to do, release exclusives that are technically beyond what the XB1 can achieve. Uncharted 4 will move the goal posts, and that will be their retaliation.
MS have deep pockets, Sony have tech superiority and brains.
The bugs in Dead Island & Riptide were just part of the games charm, just as it was with The Saboteur, one of my favorite games last gen.
Dying Light will be awesome as will Dead Island 2 but I think Dying light will be the darker experience whereas Dead Island 2 ( stupid name now ) will be more of a fun experience.
Both are day one for me, without a doubt although I expect them to be 7/10 games, well, 8/10 for dying light.

What I don't understand is how the 'cloud' can be given anything that the simplest of tasks because the 'internet' occasionally slows down and occasionally stops altogether.... then what? does the game crash or does that building i just blew up remain standing until the interweb decides to come back to life again....?
Meanwhile on XB1 there are bugger all new releases. Id rather plenty of choice with a nice stream of releases between the big hitters instead of feck all.
No Thanks, Just allow me to download these huge worlds onto my HD and allow me to run the game from there. In a few years we'll all have external 10TB+ hard drives. No... da cloud, or 'servers' running some game code may be the future but won't necessarily alter the gaming landscape completely unless it is forced upon us. Something MS tried to do about a year or so ago.... till they were put back in their place.
