Maybe it's because PS3 are usually 5 to 10 bucks more expensive (at least here in Europe where I live that's the norm) than Xbox 360 versions?
yeah right... they sell on THIS YEAR'S VOLUME BASIS maybe 30% (or 138,000 units so far).
how much is 138,000 compared to the 100,000,000+ dvd players already sold in japan? right -> nothing or what I call "fun with numbers".

Because it's an indicator how well the technology is accepted. Aha! So back to consoles - it's psychology: People want to be reminded that they made the "right" choice. Sales figures is their monthly fix.

I think Sony can't drop the PS3 price - it's not a question of won't.
Load times will be faster - even if only minimally faster.

1. any review should give you a good idea whether the reviewed product is worth your time and money - basically it's enough to review with thumbs up or down.

Keep it real, Sony! Not everybody wants casual online multiplayer games... many many people still enjoy a single player (WITHOUT ONLINE!) action/adventure!
He's right, most of the people who buy Wiis (90%+) don't need a HDD or won't buy it anyways.
I agree that it would be nice to plug in a USB-HDD and stuff but Nintendo simply doesn't want it, because they fear homebrew and piracy for obvious reasons (I disagree strongly personally, but that's how they think at Nintendo).

first they denied that the game comes to PC (*LOL*) of course GTA IV will come to PC an sell a few million copies extra.
second it's absolutely clear that the PC version will be superior, just like ANY version of GTA before was better on PC... but c'mon you can't beat the feeling of playing with a PS3 or Xbox 360 controller and that's why it's better on consoles gameplay-wise.
The window of opportunity is closing... IMO Blu-ray will be the last widespread physical disc medium - if it ever goes beyond Laserdisc status at all.
