I got a good laugh out of that.
I'm pretty sure the editor/writer is around fourteen years old.
Actually, that's an insult to everyone that age. I'd put him at eleven or twelve.
Why don't you get started on that list, then?
Oh lord.
You're right, I did phrase it wrong. The class is difficult to use properly, which leads to idiot teammates not helping the team out with it.
It just seems like a very..."passive" class. For example, Recons in BC2 had the option of equipping C4, which allowed them to take out tanks and the like. BF3's recon class doesn't really have a piece of equipment like that. They can only spot stuff for other people to destroy.
That's not neces...
While all your points are valid, I'm just going to point out that he killed four enemies with one clip of a UMP without ever letting off the trigger.
Try that in a game like BF3 (I hate to use the example, but it's the most applicable at the moment)...you'll kill one, MAYBE two and then get gunned down because you missed the rest of your shots due to recoil. (Also, the UMP is basically a Super Soaker at the moment in BF3, but you get my point)
For starters...the game itself (UI, graphics, etc.) looks almost EXACTLY like MW2, judging from these videos.
Also, the killstreaks (AC130, Predator missile, UAV, etc) and the perks are pretty much taken directly from MW2.
I'm just stating fact, though I'm sure I'll be flamed and called a BF fanboy or something.
Precisely, TDM just doesn't really fit with Battlefield. BF(in my mind) is about large-scale vehicle combat. Tanks, helicopters, APCs, jets, buggies...all working in tandem to accomplish a goal. TDM doesn't have vehicles (understandably so) and I think that detracts from the BF experience.
That being said, I have played a few rounds of it. It just doesn't feel...right. I think it might be due to how atrocious the spawns are.
Squad deathmatch, on t...
I so want to try this now...it'd be like a modern-day Operation Market Garden.
I completely forgot about the spawn beacon. It just seems like I never have the teammates that take advantage of it. I use it personally to get behind enemy lines, but once it's there, I switch classes to something that I can be more productive with.
Perhaps you're looking to branch out or get a change of scenery? For example, I never liked COD4 as much as I LOVED Halo 3, but I still played it often. I still liked the game, actually (I believe COD's headed downhill since then, sadly).
Recon class is absolutely useless in my opinion. I've barely even used it. You can't do anything to help your team whatsoever. The other three all have their merits. Unless you've got the SOFLAM and a squadmate has a Javelin, there's very little you do to help your team while you're sitting back and spotting or sniping. If you're defending an MCOM, that's fine. But in conquest or the attacking side of Rush, it's damned near useless.
I don't know if it's possible to revitalize the franchise to the point that it had been at, as much as it greatly pains me to say it.
I think that it's got the reputation as the "kiddie" game and CoD has taken its place. Which sucks so bad. I wish it was as popular as Halo 3 was, but everyone knows that it won't be.
Maybe there's hope. Maybe Halo 4 can do it. I sincerely hope so.
One can hope.
>Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
Stopped reading right there. This moron's basing the game off of Modern Combat? Are you f'ing serious?
This is literally one of the most retarded things I have ever read on the internet.
So new weapon [skins] and new maps are enough to convince you to buy a new game?
That's all they did with WaW and MW2. I'll admit that they at least added theater (although they were late to that party...like always) and innovated a little with Black Ops, but the other two games...not so much.
And based on all the material we've seen for this game, it looks like it's going to be MORE of the same from the series.
People like you are the reason Call of Duty sucks now.
Maybe they would be forced to innovate (like they did with COD4) if people quit buying the same crap over and over again.
ITS THE HIGHEST SELLING GAME OF ALL TIME, NOTHING CAN TAKE IT DOWN!!
I love Battlefield, and I'll definitely be buying it instead of MW3 this fall, but if EA believes that they'll outsell Call of Duty, the executives a smoking crack. It ain't gonna happen.
I completely misread that comment the first time around. I'm sorry. I read that as "I can come up with at least 20 reasons MW3 will be/is better than BF3."
My bad.
But yeah, I'm pretty sure these are purely for N4G.
