Cool. They ran both of those games into the ground, maybe Call of Duty will go the way of the dinosaur now too? One can only hope.
Why can't LucasArts get it through their thick skulls that we just want Battlefront 3?
And here I was hoping for Battlefront 3 :(
Ah, I see. Well, looks like I was wrong then. Hope got the best of me, I guess.
I believe that's actually what this plan is.
'You don't kill Call of Duty by trying to be Call of Duty, you kill it by making a better shooter' - Demize99 (Alan Kertz, Design Leader for Battlefield 3)
That quote was put on twitter early last year.
Funny how times have changed.
I'm probably through with this game. If I can buy the Armored Fury pack or whatever it's called by itself without having to buy the subscription, that's fine, I might buy it. But if I have ...
This is a brilliant plan. People will see the $99 price tag and fail to read the fine print. Boom. More Xboxes sold.
Seriously? Who gives a fuck what she tweets?
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a fan of Call of Duty, but I did enjoy the campaign of Black Ops. The Cold War is a really unexplored medium that has so much to offer. Even though I don't like the multiplayer, I do get a kick out of the singleplayer parts. Yeah, they're Michael Bay/24 explosion orgies, but it's entertaining to me to see Russia and the US fight. Or it was...there really needs to be a new boogeyman.
Anyway, I'm extremely disappoi...
"allowing endless rape trains to be run"
lol'd heartily at that
While I agree on your point about weak campaigns recently, I don't think we're in the majority. MP is what sells games these days, a lot of people (sadly) don't even bother with the campaign.
That said, the GI scans talk about the campaign pretty thoroughly, and it sounds promising. Plus, the Spartan Ops missions sound pretty cool as well. Apparently, the UNSC Infinity crosses paths directly in the campaign. I can't wait, Halo's story has always been incre...
Sweet. I can't believe I hadn't seen that yet. I'm assuming it's the thing at the end?
How is knowing when a weapon will spawn "cheating"? It's common knowledge, it can be looked up anywhere on the internet. It's not a complex mathematical formula that takes thought, either. You pick a weapon up, and it takes a set amount of time to spawn. It makes the game competitive because you end up fighting over those points where weapons spawn.
Interesting post by Frankie on this matter:

Link me to the video with that enemy, I really want to search for it.
This is just depressing.
Sums up my experience pretty well.
I'm surprised he didn't address not being able to see anything because of the lighting effects at night (namely, the headlights).
The rat keeps you from moving on, a soldier walks over the gap, sees you, and then opens up before you can react. You do give the rat the finger before you die, though.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that. The word "Battlefield" isn't even on the page anywhere.
Screw whoever submitted this.
So true.
I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
