Day 1! Im literally dancing around my house. Im gonna pre order next week and start putting money down each month up to release. PS Vita!!!
Hell naw its not too expensive. This is breathtaking. The wifi model wipes the 3DS in terms of functionality. I will be getting PS Vita 3G Day 1. I was expecting much higher.
Sony just bitch slapped Nintendo with the wifi PS Vita. Its the same price but does 10x more. PS VIta FTW!!!!
Im getting PS Vita 3G day 1. Cant believe price.
I cant believe the price of the PS Vita! I'm 100% pleased. PS Vita 3G version Day 1.
I think we need to see more exclusives and 1st party games from Nintendo before we pop the champagne. Though these specs are pretty sweet and will yield some good results, it won't matter if all were playing is Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and Pokemon.
I'd like to see Nintendo buy up some of these small game devs and put them to work on exclusives for this system. Slapping good hardware in a box with mediocre games and hundreds of sequels isn't enough in my opinion. Thi...
That 512 MB of XDR Ram is probably around 3x faster than the 4GB of DDR2 your laptop probably has.
Plus this thing has 1GB of DDR5 Video Ram so the system wont have to divide the main RAM unless developers chose to.
Of course AMD would want a piece of the 6 billion dollar video game industry.
As much as APU's are cool I still feel that they dont offer the same performance of dedicated CPU's & GPU's YET. While they are a good idea at the moment they are targeted at netbook/low end PC's enabling them to handle HD content and basic gaming needs.
We still need dedicated hardware. Ageia Physx cards still give better performance than GPU generated Physx jus...
Yea I agree and next time I'll know. But still my Radeon HD 5650 is still capable and I should still get more/better performance out of it. I can run Bioshock 2 maxed out at 40fps and then turn on Red Faction Guerilla and get 25fps on medium/high. I have to play Crysis 1 on low/medium and still get 27-35fps but then crank up L4D2 and get 50fps on high.
I know these games vary in different design and Crysis is more extensive and taxing but I think if developers had more access to t...
I think both Microsoft and the Developer play a part in this.
We need better APIs but also need developers spending more time optimizing their games.
I think DirectX is holding graphics on computer back. I spent $800 on a laptop just for having an ATI Radeon HD 5650.
ATI Radeon HD 5650
Engine clock speed: 450-650 MHz
Processing power (single precision): 360-520 GigaFLOPS
Polygon throughput: 450-650M polygons/sec
Data fetch rate (32-bit): 36-52 billion fetches/sec
Texel fill rate (bilinear filtered): 9-13 Gigatexels/sec
Pixel fill rate: 3.6-5.2 Gigapixels/sec
Anti-aliased pixel...
I think all your media content will be stored in the cloud and accessed via built in 3G!
I bet this is why Sony did this. Its already happening with the PS3. You probably have a computer program similar to itunes that has all your media on it and it uploads to a server and you access the content via 3G. Problem solved.
Godly.
Im comfortable with $349.
@above
But I wouldn't mind wearing those glasses briefly to watch video content in 3D. Don't forget it plays movies too and Sony has alot of partners in the movie industry. Can anyone say downloadable 3D movies?
They integrated Trophies and Friends into the PSP NGP OS. Its is the trailer. Look it up on Youtube.
Day 1 buy. This is insane. Im crying in tears of joy right now.
True. Im not saying I don't want it, I'm just saying if there is one thing Sony had to take out for cost I would pick the touch pad on the back.
Thats the reason it doesn't have an HDMI port. It would replace the PS3.
You must be pretty poor and have a poor concept of value if you think that the PS Vita is overpriced.
