Hey man, I would definitely give both games a try. I really enjoyed the single player experiences alot, kinda had that roller coaster type feel. Gears has that type of world that can really suck you in. Of course, this is only my opinion as you can see there are many others who detest the game.

I have UC2 and Gears 2...and I play both. Why? Because they are both great games...but who know, maybe I'm in the minority here.

I wouldn't call KZ2 a benchmark...I call it a damn fine looking game, but there are many other damn fine looking games. It's funny how there articles are based on technical feats like graphics and physics. How about we have articles that compare what actually matters...the content in each game. DarkSiders was a great game and I would love to see more like it. But in this age it doesn't matter due to the fact that it doesn't look like GOW3 or UC2. Makes me sad that games are now being overlook...
