Agreed I paid £30 for Dragon age: awakening from PSN cos it wasn't available on disc here. it was cheaper on disc for the 360. Downloadable games are a rip of Its effectively a license I can't do anything with when I've finished playing with no case, disc or manual and it costs me more!!
Only time I've ever had a problem with a disc was on the PC when discs where a lot weaker and even then I wasn't keeping discs inside PC. Red Alert 2 my soviet disc actually exploded inside the DVD drive. shattered in to tiny bits I had to force the drive open and found that the disc was just little shards the disc quality was crap back in the day though. Fallout 3 on the PS3 gets extremely hot yet the disc is still in perfect condition even if its been left inside the PS3 or not.
Blue-ray had a lot more studios and electronic company backing

Sadly it isn't one person, This is a trend I have been seeing a lot over the last year or so, less of my friends on XBLA and more on PSN.
3 years ago only one of my friends had a PS3 now nearly all of them game on the PS3 instead

The format war was decided by films not consoles, the very fact Sony have film studios was part of the reason Blu-ray won. Sony have a lot more say in this area than Microsoft. This was to Sony's advantage and there was very little chance of Sony repeating Betamax. HD-DVD was already set to lose.
Keyboard control is a bit outdated, doesn't work as well for moving your character about a map than an analogue, but its the opposite when it comes to aiming with a mouse.
No where does it say Sony cant compete with Microsofts spending on marketing. He just says "I don't think we'll ever outspend Microsoft." No Sony have never put massive money in to marketing and quiet obvious they don't need to seen as there is only a few million difference in consoles sold. End of day I can't play Marketing only the games and lets face it Sony are putting a lot more money in to games than Microsoft.

Damage has little importance to me on GT5 as my aim is to come 1st with as little damage as possible, but I suppose you need damage for people who are just crap at GT games and just like to watch cars smashing in to walls.

GTA IV went multiplat on release cos sony let them in return for a new exclusive IP. Whether its timed exclusive or not I don't know

Well one controller comes with a console, and if we comparing it with a PC then you cant take split screen in to account cos PC's cant do that, unless you buy more controllers. Most people have HDTV's even PC gamers. Yet if you own a PC yeh sure you can plug it in to your TV to saves you cash on a monitor but most PC gamers will buy a monitor. You don't need a HDTV to play on a console. just like you can use Svideo connection to play a PC on an SDTV, either way y...

probs nearly all PC users own a large LCD or plasma anyway for their normal TV or are you going to tell me PC users don't own a TV?
Oh and you don't need a gaming PC to do other things like earn a living a low cost laptop can do them jobs for you.
@Lastdual. I think Halo is just average I had first on original Xbox wasn't nothing special I played it more times than Killzone on PS2 yet Killzone is a lot more memorable. all in all its an opinion if I think Halo is average that is my opinion.
Just like I think no online shooter can even come close to the scale Planetside had in it's day.

Lol any company has the right to remove add whatever they want on their system. If you don't agree with it then don't click "I accept" next to you read terms and conditions. Just maybe if it wasn't for stuff like this they wouldn't of removed OtherOS in the first place.
I have the default 80GB hard drive in my PS3, I own least 40 games and tons of DLC and music. yet still have 50 odd gigs left. Seriously don't see the point in storing games that you haven't played in 6 months on your hard drive. I don't do it on my PC so I wont do it on my PS3. The more shit you hold on your hard drive the slower it becomes.
All my friends own a PS3 as well so if they wanted to play an older game they would either buy it or borrow it off me. plus...
Funny how people complain about their hands being to big my dad is just short of 7 foot tall and has massive hands yet he has no problems. You don't have to grip the controller with all your might, if I hold it tight it feels to small but if I loosely hold it it's fine.
