that article made me want to get back to pc games bad. I used to mess with them in college, but I turned console only soon after my last desktop crashed. Also, it was a well written article so all the better.
Alot of people rely on reviewers to guide their purchases, especially gamers who aren't hardcore gamers. A friend of mine who does minimal gaming on the 360 always asks me..."what did ign give it?" and won't give games a second thought if they got a bad score. Reviews are just peoples opinions, yes, but it would be nice if there was some sort of standards rather than all willy nilly! It tuff to put stock in any review when they dock a game for one thing, then don't dock the next gam...
how many times are you going to say the same thing? Yes we get your point, but really who cares?
that they will add a itunes-esq service. What a great way to break into the market by using an install base already established well around the world!
if you are suggesting that we are the same person, then you really are pathetic. Good job detective, we both have the word Red in our names so we must be the same person. So i guess everyone with the word game in their name is the same. I hope there isn't anyone else with the word King in their name.
please realize....ONLINE GAMING IS STILL FREE!! I don't know where some of you get off critizing PS3 gamers for being curious and possibly willing to sign up for a subscription of PSN. The beef some of them had was that MS charged you to play online, thats where the critics came from. And they do have a point.
To say, "You pretending you never said the things you did about Live the past 3yrs and now you have to flipflop hurts. You should just take it on the chin and keep wh...
what the heck are you talking about? All I said was that I am letting my live subsrictpion run out (because I barely use my xbox) and putting that money towards the PSN IF it is worth it. I didn't think that was that hard to understand, but since you have added nothing to this comment thread besides hate, I should have figured you to be of a small mind.
All anyone said, is with the right features they would jump on board. I don't mind supporting Sony with extra funds if the serv...
I am definitely entertaining the idea of letting my xboxlive subscription lapse and then possibly jump on board the PSN paid version. I hope they really flesh out some ideas and make it a one-stop shop for all things entertainment. I hope it also includes a Sony Itunes with unlimited downloads (like zune pass) for a monthly fee. I can dream right?!
you should get one. Yes, the RRoD stinks, but i think you will be okay if you don't use it as a primary machine. I only use it for exclusives and shooters. Otherwise, I get all the other games on ps3. I have actually thought about cleansing myself of the Xbox but i still like to play it every once in a while. Its a good console, its just the most unreliable piece of machinery ever created. Its clear that MS is a software company, not a hardware. That's why Live is so good but the console stin...
The PSN subscription will get you to access Sony's Itunes (who knows what they will call it. The membership will get you unlimited songs to download from the store as well as free monthly movie renting. You will be able to turn your ps3 into your computer for music since the Hard Drive space is enormous. Perfect for movies and games. You will also be able to play music bought from Sony ITunes during games and will make the process of adding music to your games seamless. Home will be redesigne...
I would be really excited if the PSN Premium turns out to be like a Sony Itunes. Premium gets you unlimited music download, movie rentals (like 5 movies a month, each one for 4 days only kinda thing). Plus a revamped Home and online play (even tho that is free) Id def sign up!
bingo! ....gaming industry feels dirty. i miss my original nintendo
i have been thinking that exact thing. Sony needs to bundle a headset badly. My bluetooth and most others, give nasty feedback. I wish Sony gave me a xbox headset (maybe some triggers on my DS3 too? lol)
go to English/Typing class...your post is barely readable
seriously tho, thanks for keeping things on topic. bubble for you.
who obviously didn't play the game yet....ugh
sounds by what you said in your comment you are a ps3 gamer since you quickly brought up the ps3 in your comment. Have you even played this game? Even at best you played it your friends house, barely enough time to form your "own" opinion. Funny thing, having an opinion of your own. You should try it sometime.
i visit Destructiod a lot and its not bias in the the least. It seems the only people calling L4D2 an expansion are ps3 owners who shouldn't even care anyhow. So stop pretending things seem one way if they are not. Then there would be no such things as flamebait if people would keep shut.
Had Sony just included a mic with each console purchase would really solved a lot of problems. Some people don't have mics, some have them but don't like it cause its a blutooth headset that has too much inference. Sony should create 31 million of the headsets you get with the Xbox360, and send one to the address where these accounts are made. I can't imagine it being too expensive to make that many headsets. Now everyone has a functional, reliable and clear headset.
That would really ...
I thought the game was fairly well put together. Yes, there is some credence to what Jim's but there were a few things he pointed out that just didn't make sense. He stated that Ezio climbs to slow, but all you have to do is hold down R1 and boom! He climbs faster!!! Bad graphics? uhhhh did I buy a early production copy by mistake? The game looks great!
I think Jim had a bad vibe for this game before he even turned it on, hence a review that only harps on the negatives of the gam...
