The game is somewhat broken. FPS makes it way easier.
Not to mention those cutscenes they added are cheesy as hell, even for an MGS game.

The only thing that bothers me so far is the horrible story mode.
Seriously you could beat each one in 10 minutes or less.
While I kind of agree that there would be less headaches if Konami went through PSN. We would have to wait for them to approve all the new updates and DLC, which could take a while.
Either way, Survival mode is pretty fun. It's like an arcade. Keep playing until you get knocked out, then get back in line. Addictive stuff.

The problem is that unlike Mario, transferring Sonic's gameplay to a 3d environment is very difficult. It eventually breaks down into being a platformer with a few high speed sections that usually come with a few cheap deaths. Instead of taking time and working on it, they would rather go the easier route and add a bunch of other unneeded stuff to it.
Think of Sonic as a silent film actor with a horrible voice, great when there is no sound. But once you include sound, he is a jok...
