They're just expanding their reach.
Just like any business does, eventually. Though, like someone said, its not like they canned all other things to work on Move.
It comes down to business at the end of the day. Everyone is fully aware of that now. If you can spend minimal cost on production, and earn so much back, then why not? As someone mentioned above. Its a chance to intake a lot, and then when it wears off, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, we may see something new come.

I walked into HMV, and saw AC: Brotherhood for £42. I was literally like, O.O. I mean, I can understand £20-30. But, £42? I know I could easily pull up a place like ShopTO, or something, and find it for roughly £19 (not on sale).
I guess its business, but thats just mind-boggling.

It was a generalisation, rather than a specific one.
In a whole, you can see the devs who put themselves out there, to give gamers a full experience.
It's rather shocking when you see how far some devs go to just to giver gamers that bit extra. Whereas many devs, who are clearly better off, decide to put out rushed work.
A good laid out subscription service, probably would work with the COD community.
If Activision will try it, and it works, probably others will consider the possibility too.
