Most good games out there don't even come close to the amount of money that COD generates. The quality has been significantly poorer each year. The only title that beats COD, is the one that follows it (sales wise). That is a bit saddening.
I get the idea of BF3 caters to some, and COD does the same. I just dislike how people enjoy being taken for a ride.

You also don't have to be a genius to predict that COD will sell more than BF. It isn't because the quality is amazing either.
You're right though, they have something which is working from a business standpoint. They won't change it, until it stops hitting those ridiculous sales amounts. But the impact of CODs sales will begin indoctrinating devs.
