I've still got my original fat PS3. I occassionally wipe the dust off the top but other than that do no maintenance to it. I spend most of my time on it (yes i'm lonely) and have never had an issue with it.
My 360 died midway through Rainbow 6 Vegas I think, RRoD but was thankfully still under warranty many, many moons ago and was repaired by MS.
Went last year, it was boring
The article itself is actually nothing to do with the PS4, it's just in the title here to get hits.
The article is about the new Jaguar cores v Intel Atom cores.
Also, didn't Sony say it will have 8cores in the PS4 or was it referring to 4cores with HT?
I hope its the sequel to Dragons Dogma or at least a new IP exactly like it :p.
It doesn't look like in game footage but having the inventory in the bottom left sort of leads you to believe that so it's very misleading if it's not.
Also, when the guy throws the torch to the other guy seems like its an FPS.
But then it shows a guy running at the dragon with the sword, bottom left the sword is selected, so this would mean 3rd person :-S.
So confusing ...
Depends what resolution you're going to run it at, obviously something at 800x600 on Ultra is a lot easier on the system than something at 1920x1080 or greater :)
Part arrogance, part poor design - the overpricing was mainly due to undeeded features not Sony trying to make huge profits :-)
Their exclusives are filled with variety!
They have an FPS, a third-person shooter and a driving game :-)
@aiBreeze
Unless they're all developing next gen Kinect games...
@J86blum
I suggest you get a better internet connection as the new PSN Store (SEN or whatever they're calling it now) works fine for me.
No slowness, no issues, so it's your side not theirs that has the problem.
DLC isn't the norm for me, never bought any, doubt I ever will.
Would have to be a big section of single player gameplay for me to spend money on it.
Doesn't really bother me. If it was things that actually stopped the game then fair enough but they're not saying you have to buy these parts or you won't be able to do this part of the game.
It's just a quicker way for noobs to upgrade the weapons and get further than they normally would (even on Easy) :p
Gb = Gigabit
GB = Gigabyte
Mb = Megabit
MB = Megabyte
Big difference so make sure you use the right one ;)
UPDATE: Sony Germany has confirmed that it’s not true.
I went from a 60GB HDD then to a 360GB and now to 1TB, in both cases I ran out of space because of Playstation Plus games :-) but here are the numbers I recorded:
For anyone who has or is going to get a PS3 put a 1TB HDD in straight away.
I went from 40GB to 320GB and now to 1TB.
I had to resize an existing NTFS partition on an external drive which took about 4hours, backup 320GB which took 21hours, restore the data 8hours.
Total Time: 33hours
PS3 is a more popular console than the 360 is all i'm seeing.
Does anyone know if the Shipped Figures count MS shipping replacement consoles for RRoD? And the same for Sony and the yellow HDD light of death?
"Over the past week, I've been in touch with two former Xbox support staff. Both people, who asked that we not use their names, say they were fired for writing comments about their jobs on Kotaku."
Why are they bothered about their names being used if they've already been fired? lol
The list does look good for PCs, I'm suprised all console games aren't available on the PC though.
Total War: Rome 2 is going to be my game of the year I think and Agent was cancelled but then it was shown in the background of a picture on like film reel, that was only a few months ago I think so not sure whether it's been picked up again.
Also, would seem that 3rd Party Developers would prefer programming for Sony rather than Microsoft knowing that they would get more money off 2 games priced at £30 than one game priced at £40 and then it being traded in and resold.
Having never bought 2nd hand games or traded them in I look forward to this RFID chip and hope the savings are passed on in cheaper games (£30 instead of £40):-)
"Nintendo and Microsoft have both at least doubled Sony’s sales in North America"
Does he know 26.01 doubled is 52.02 of which Nintendo and Microsoft haven't managed in North America, just saying...
