Let's be real for a moment. Phil knew the state of Redfall before it released. He was ok with it and hoped that you would be ok with it as well. Phil is telling you that these are the types games to expect from GamePass. He is telling you not to expect titles that compete with Sony's big budget games.

This. I don't buy Microsoft products I'm only interested in this story because they are taking the gaming industry in a direction that is good for Microsoft and not good for gamers. But people are so intrenched in the console wars that they can't step back and see what's going on.
If MS plans to offer day 1 AAA games for free on GP then no it's not sustainable. They will increase the monthly charge as much as the market will bear.
I'm old enough to remember when MS Office was free just long enough to drive the competition out of business. Then it stopped being free and the price increased with each new version. Everything free ain't free.

I don't think you understand what NFT'S are. You are looking at how they were used in the past but they can and will be used differently in the future. NFT's are simply a way to convey ownership in the digital world.

We know that the cost to produce games will continue to rise. We know that companies will continue to look for ways to recoup and profit from their labor. But NFT'S could be a way for the player to benefit from their labor in acquiring some valuable gear. They can trade it or sell it to someone that is willing to pay for it. Or they could build a large collection and save it like art.

This is why I don't buy Microsoft products. They forced their MS Office competition out of business by implementing anti-consumer practices. Then as soon as the competition was out of business they start hiking up the prices of its software. I haven't purchased a Microsoft product in several decades.
