Why is it sad?
To me it seems like the digital distribution is doing good.
Finally the Wii U is getting some love real games.
It proves a lot pay attention. He basically says take advantage of the system and if you can't you'll have issues.
I wouldn't say late but the timing is perfect. A game that will basically kick off the new Nintendo. To add to that every game after Pikmin actually is of high quality.
No there companies that produce some sort of physical product. They day a software company is producing games that cost 30 million to make there asking for it.
This looks like a tech Demo and should be free.
@ DeadlyFire As most low budget titles cost 20-30 Million to make initially. Are you making stuff up?
I am a new developer and I am going to waste 30 million making a bad game?
Perhaps you meant most great games cost that much. Also I still think that's to much money to make a game. I'm old school and fun games like Pacman all the way up to Super Mario Galaxy which sold pretty well never cost that much.
The problem is, almost everything that's been changed here has been changed with the explicit intent and purpose of making it a harder.
This made me stop reading.
@ Neogeo with what others are charging for DLC with this you get a actual game. I would say tacked on same game different character and added features. So your assessment sounds like you got your comment from this article.
It's not a AAA game. If you own the game like I do then you understand why it didn't sell. For one The Wii U has more power than the PS3 and 360 but they made it look worse than a Wii game,
The controls are clunky and there is nothing in the game to boost replay value. Why blame Nintendos system for a subpar game?
Why not create a game that looks good plays good that sales systems if the game isn't ready don't release it.
Look at indie games ...
I have a few thoughts on how they dropped the ball.
1. No game at release that was first party to push out great looking visuals.
2. Let 3rd parties drive sales with with crappy ports.
3.No marketing. People only buy something when there made to believe they need it.
4. Relied to much on the internet and fans knowing about the system.
5. Had no playable demos in every store.
I was thinking t...
@ Shad0wRunner You don't have to give up the TV but if you wanted to you could. Also if you needed to you would do it with the vita which has a smaller screen. Your statement is hypocritical.
You are blasting Nintendo fans but you advocating for Sony like crazy your def Funny.
He admitted that they haven't been able to just catch up but guess what Pikmen is the start of the future for them every first party game that's to be released after Pikmen...
Ok $500.00 plus dollars for skype and that's it buy a Wii U use there messaging feature for less.
Before everyone just reads the title and comment. Read the article I did and this is what I found. Oh yeah this why Nintendo hates the media.
from the website first paragraph.
Update 7/10: It has been brought to our attention that the source reference site's report for this story was actually based on a satire, not based on facts. Rather than pulling the story down, we're alerting you to the fact that we were mislead (as were others).
I hope NA gets the same type of commercial no damn kids in a box with that horrible music.
Nintendo's response to this article.
We dont make hits we make classics.
Famitsu gave Pikmen 37/40 It's safe to say they still make great games.
This game is ummmmmmm
The system has been on sale a few times throughout the year at multiple stores. So if you didn't buy it when it was on sale a price drop from Nintendo will not help push you to get one.
Now what will is value and that's 5-10 titles from the big N that you can not live without that everyone has played and loved.
You troll every Nintendo article and ride out with the majority of comments.
--Onilink-- If this game is releasing on the Wii U and Grand Theft auto isn't then sales won't be affected.
@ RedHawkX LOL you are so funny I am laughing out of control.
