All Nintendo has to do to move units is create bundles. From a financial stance people view bundles as budgets.

Hmmmmm The Xbox fans are stating that it's launch numbers and no indication. But when it was the WiiU they dogged it. All the consoles sale well in the first month but then the 2nd month is the indicator of what it is.
For me it was perfect. What people fail to realize this is another opportunity for Nintendo to showcase a game to the public that's coming out soon.
I mean lets not bash and think for a second. The game releases in 2 months. You just dropped a perfect game and now your getting free press on another big title. You don't have to spend money on commercials.

The Wii U is a home console that has finally gained traction and is outselling the PS3 now the counter argument is everyone has one but the PS3 and XBOX 360 are still moving massive numbers globally so lets throw the 7 year argument out the window.
The Vita outsold the Wii U by 42 units but look at what the 3ds did to the vita with no new games.

What defines a generation to you? Mario world looks and plays better than any next gen game released so far this year and it's rated higher.

I get that you want online that is cool. I get that every single friend that you had in the world that plays video games lives out of your state. But if the game is flawless you knock it down that much for no online?
By his thinking if they end up with a control pad then they end up with a new Wii U. The game pad isn't sold seperately so it's a wash.
In all actuality Nintendo has to be pleased there stocks have just went up 5% and there about to release the the best looking game out of all next gen consoles.
The Wii U commercial clearly says upgrade.
Upgrade:an occurrence in which one thing is replaced by something better, newer, more valuable, etc.
Talk all you want but the commercial is aimed at parents who buy systems for their kids.
