"soap opera effect" is people not being used to high frame rates, because usually films are displayed at less than 30fps. This isnt a problem in games, as gamers are accustomed to seeing games in all sorts of different frame rates.

I was going to get a XB1 for the kinect, since i had a 360 with my ps3 because of the kinect games. but then MS decided to stop making new kinect games. if they announced a bunch more kinect games id go out and buy one tomorrow. :-(

The PS3's hardware was much faster than the 360, thats why there was an outcry. The problem being the complexity hiding that power. This gen, yet again Sony's offering is more powerful than Microsoft's, but the complexity has been removed. If anything, the XBox One is MORE complex than the PS4 AND slower.
Sony has more 1st AND 3rd party though...

I'm going to pretty much use the VR exclusively as a HMD whenever I'm gaming alone. Can't wait.

expansions never sell as many copies as the original game. so the fact that its almost digital only means little.
THPS5 is a lot of fun, and definitely not broken. Thats some next level hyperbole right there. The only time ive seen some weird physics bug is when im button mashing to TRY to make it happen. Otherwise its glorious 1080p tony hawk goodness. Imagine playing this exact game in 1999, your mind would be BLOWN. I say its time to get off your high horse and enjoy fun games. Tony Hawk is DEFINITELY a fun game.
