So why not play them on PS3? =S
I guess that proves it then, haha. You either love it or hate it!
Though if you play for under 3 hours you'll hate it.
The actual seeing the future bit was kind of unwhelming but changing the dog breed and getting those awesome creature costumes made it worth it. And having more areas to explore you can carry around in your items!
Most likely Free Radical now that it's been absorbed into Crytek as their console development team.
I hated it at first but as the article says once you get a few hours in it's like it suddenly changes and gets awesome! Pretty much when the world is opened up to roam around.
It's really cheap, usually below $20 now.
Awesome game, can't wait for Overlord II, think it's dated for July?
It and Ridge Racer have the perfect drifting...completely unrealistic, but it's just so awesome.
Hey, I enjoyed the Wheelman.
Not a game that'll revolutionise the world, but it was a lot of silly fun. =)
He is incredibly passionate about his game studio Tigon.
Not just as a founder but as a part of the design and development process. No wonder Dark Athena has such awesome voice acting.
Tigon should be set to work on more movie tie-ins since they seem to be able to make them work, which is more than most other studios can say.
Or you could just send it in to Microsoft for your free repair and get it back in 2 weeks with a free month of Live Gold and free postage & handling?
Free?
Nooooooooooo it's ruined!
Been looking forward to it, looks better than Knothole Island (and cheaper, which is always nice).
Downloading now.
Reminds me of that horrible, horrible game from the History Channel. =P
And it looks like I wasn't missing much...
I don't care who buys it, I'd just be glad it can survive. It would be a huge shame to dump all the work that's gone into it.
Definitely looking like it'll be an interesting E3. There are now 2 studios who shut down with interesting games that I want to see the fate of:
3D Realms for Duke Nukem Forever
Free Radical with TimeSplitters 4 (now part of Crytek)
I just picked this game up online for cheap, I've loved Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata in th past and Blue Dragon was pretty good.
Get past the first 2-3hours, and WOW. It's damn addictive! I'm 11 hours into it, and loving every second.
It's one of those unusual gems though - play it for a few minutes and you'll be able to point out a dozen flaws, but somehow it just doesn't matter. I guess it's the case where the result is more than the sum of its parts.
In 2005 at E3 the current consoles were announced along with tons of 'next-gen' games.
It's interesting to see how many came to fruition and how many were never seen from again.
If the server logs are correct, that is very inconsiderate of Eurogamer to publish that review without verifying the reviewer (especially being a contributor instead of one of the staff) had given it a fair chance and followed their reviewing criteria.
Eurogamer is too large a site to make mistakes like this.
Because the game is being shipped to retailers as copies are still being manufactured. Often it goes by regions, so perhaps all stores n a certain state or country will get theirs around the same time before moving on to the next.
Because remember: there's also stuff like the manuals and cases that need to be made simultaneously and it could never be perfectly in sync, leading to hold-ups depending on what takes the most time to manufacture. The release date leaves room for error...
Love that game, has so much personality. Can tell it was a labour of love for the development team, like the things the minions do when bored and having a jester minion in your dark tower simply for the pleasure of beating it. With an axe.
