1) Almost everyone on the previous news about this was saying that if Universal left HDDVD, then Bluray would win. That's regardless of anything, as Universal is the most important supporter of HDDVD. You cannot deny what happenned with other sony formats though, even if Bluray is winning! I think the point that LoydXmas was making was that before this rumour came about, Bluray fans weren't bothered about Universal.

Both of these games looks stunning. I would give the edge to GTHD to be honest. i mean, no one can deny that its a close call. Forza looks better in 1 or 2 pics i think, but GTHD looks better in more id say. But dont take anything away from Forza, as the first was a great game, and if you like GT, you woulda liked Forza because of how it played

Isn't that 'little developer' called Ubisoft making a little game called 'Assassins Creed'? i sure know a lot of 360 and PS3 fans are looking forward to that one. Its just because of how they both work. Everyone is fully aware that the PS3 is capable of lots, but at the moment developers are struggling a bit to make use of what the PS3 can do.
The 360 however is largely thought to be easy to make games for, and some companys say that there is more that can be done with the 360 then that which has already been achieved (Epic said that there was more that the 360 can do then Gears (which is stunning if u havent played it)).

The PS3 version was bound to get a high score! Oblivion is a stunningly good game. For it to score low on the PS3 would be silly, seeming as it has atleast all the aspects of the 360 version (i think). And the added few expansions it has (i think, lol), justifies its higher mark. Halo is still my favourite game of all time, and it was the only xbox game i had for a good while. I wouldn't just buy it because it has the name Halo3 on it (which is why i havn't got crackdown!), i'll buy it because Halo was the game that got me into gaming.

It looks like an Ace title, but i feel that they should've made it online. imagine a load of planets owned by people goeing to war. that'd be awesome. I guess there are problems with that though, or it woulda been done.

Thats quite a big statement to make there. Sure the GC Metroid was good, but i never found any problems with Halo in its framerate or anything. It probably still sits high up on the best FPS ever list!
Has always been a good game in my opinion, however, pressing the A button to shoot, to me, seems like it would take the realism away from aiming at the screen to shoot, anyone see what i mean?

...that game information is already on the disc. its not a question of them making the dl faster for us, its that a dl shouldnt be needed, as we already own the content! if its just companies trying to make money then fine, make new things, and we'll buy them if we want. but it doesnt seem right to make a game, sell it, then make us pay extra for the stuff theyve already made, ie, that we already have!
You cant compare sales of a console to sales of an addon, its a fact. The PS3 bluray player sells everytime the PS3 sells, so itd be pretty bad for sony if the hd dvd addon sales were as much as the PS3 sales wouldnt it? Though most of your points are valid, your reply to 14.1 is wrong. The fact that GameJunkieJim was making was that the amount of things that are going on in Halo in comparison to a title like Gears, means that the graphics cannot be as good. Running Gears graphics etc on a game on the scale of something like Halo is impossible atm. Everything links into one, thats why Gears has little going on at once, but Halo has so much more.
