I used to think back on retro games as being amazing, but honestly there were very few that were actually good. I mean everyone loves the NES Mario 3, Zelda, Metroid and games like that, but for the most part the NES, Genesis, Super NES games sucked except first party games.

Now days games are so much better.

Love the title of this article! Sony takes a massive pounding! LMAO

The story certainly has been great since COD4. I kind of figured we were in for a longer, more quality campaign mode seeing as how what's left of IW and Sledgehammer games were teaming up just for the campaign. While Raven works strictly on the online parts.

I am just excited to see when this is going to be announced and when it's coming out so I can get my pre order down!

Well it works like this, Sony makes money off DVD drive sales as they own a component to the DVD drive. So every 360 sold get's Sony some money.

Same thing with Drop in drop out co op games, Microsoft somehow owns the patent on that and so any game sold on a non Microsoft platform get's Microsoft money.

This will probably work the same way, Sony will pay Microsoft a certain amount of money to keep Skype on their platforms.

Just research Alan Wake here on N4G. There was a story that says this "The game was originally planned to release on three platforms - PS3, PC and 360 - but, following a deal with Microsoft, Remedy dropped Sony's console from the mix."

That article is here http://www.computerandvideo...

Here is an article that says...

Think people THINK. Microsoft swooped in and signed an exclusive deal with Remedy for Alan Wake. They also owned the rights to sequels.

They are going to show gameplay and announce what this is AT THE MICROSOFT EA CONFERENCE.

If anything to do with another platform it would be P.C.
If we use our heads we can see it's either P.C. related, Expansion pack or Kinect related.

Well it's hard saying without playing all of the games, but I will go with Gears 3 since I have actually been playing the beta and it's been amazing!

I would have said Mass Effect 3 was a strong contender as well, but it got delayed.

Kind of a bad list, I agree with some of it, but I prefer the 360 standard controller out now to all of them.

Dreamcast controller was also pretty well done. The Original FAT Xbox controller was my favorite last generation, loved how big it was and how my hands didn't feel like they were going to break them.

I agree that the PS2 controller is so much better then the PS3 though.

This is great news! Love more Alan Wake in any way I can get it. Unless it's just a port to P.C. then I will skip it. However if it is at the Microsoft show then I think it'll end up being an expansion pack or something along those lines.

Very excited to see what's on tap at E3.

Well I buy certain map packs and DLC. Sometimes it's essential to the game like with Alan Wake. Of you didn't buy the final DLC to that game you have no idea how the ending turned out.

I buy map packs on games like COD sometimes, only if I feel the game is getting stale for me personally. Which Black Ops was. Now I am on it more then ever, it's like a whole new game!

Well who didn't already know this? They wouldn't have the best selling game each and every year if they charged for online play. Especially on PSN, those people are cheapskates. Always begging for Maps and DLC for free. Get a job and buy your own!

Trouble in paradise...

New Map pack is definitely tops. Would be ashame if PS3 people didn't get their scheduled chance to play it.

I played the 360 version, I am not a huge fan of this game but it's solid if your into the puzzle games.

They bought exclusive rights to Alan Wake. Alan Wake was originally going to be Multiplatform but Microsoft swooped in and bought EXCLUSIVE rights.

Remedy was hiring recently for a rumored sequel as well as people familiar with the 360 dev kits.

Clearly it's something P.C. related or expansion related.

I don't care so much for P.C. stuff, but if they add an expansion it's a day one for me.

Hopefully Microsoft buys...

In all honesty there is never an abundance of them that I am actually interested in.

I like Gears and Halo, I like Uncharted and God Of War. It's not like if Microsoft or Sony or Nintendo has 100 exclusives each per year that I would like or buy all of them simply because they are exclusive.

I like a wide range of games, mostly games with a solid online aspect.

5402d ago 3 agree13 disagreeView comment

Alan Wake was published by Microsoft. So it is exclusive to the 360 and Microsoft platforms. Which means it could come to Windows, Kinect or we could see a whole new expansion pack like "Season two" or something along those lines.

A prequel wouldn't be "Alan Wake". The fact that they are saying there is more "Alan Wake" has to mean P.C. or some sort of expansion.

Cant wait! I really have grown to look forward to the Call Of Duty announcements each and every year. I was a little let down with MW2, but overall every COD game has been solid and has given me the classic COD action I crave!

I would hope for a beta though so that they can flush out any bugs beforehand.

I always do the midnight release for COD games, usually have 75-90 friends on XBL playing the new COD after midnight is quite the site.

5402d ago 7 agree9 disagreeView comment

You realize IW last made a COD game in 2009 right? probably started on this new one before MW2 even launched. That would be the same two year development as many games these days, like Uncharted, Resistance, Battlefield ect...

I played the beta and it was fun, but I am not sure if it's a buy for me right now. I would have liked to get a little more time in with it.
