I'll definitely buy it because I like my Kinect and want more games with it. Fable is familiar to me and so I want to see what it's all about.
I am sure we'll see a Fable 4 at some point, so I'm not worried about that. We knew Peter and Lionhead were nuts about Kinect and so it would only be a matter of time before we got Kinect integration with a Fable game. Remember Fable 3 was actually supposed to support Kinect in some way or another.
I...
It's not that it's just harder to develop for, it's that it seems that Sony intentionally gimped what developers could do early in order to squeeze a longer cycle out of the console.
Of course it matters. It seems to only not matter to Battlefield 3 fanboys.
There probably will be a Halo 4 beta next year. If Microsoft is smart they will make people buy a game to get it though. Easy way to sell a few million copies of the game ie. ODST and Crackdown.
I know I'd buy a game to get early access to it.
I figured after it broke those world records we'd seen the last of the "Kinect will fail" articles...guess I was wrong.
When your selling 3-4 million copies of games like Kinect Sports, Dance Central, of course your not going to fail.
Microsoft is doing what they can to appeal to the "core" gamer where it concerns Kinect. You have people complaining "It's not core" then when they offer Kinect integration with games like F...
It'll be on the Xbox 360 as well. Just like Blops. Just a wasted feature honestly.
Mw3 doesn't have anything to prove really. They are the defending champs. They have absolutely nothing to prove at this point. The fact that they are bringing back the COD4 style, mentality, map structures, run and gun aspect and the quick scoping will probably get them another 5 million in sales. I could seriously see MW3 getting 25 million in sales.
I think 60 FPS is huge for a competitive online game, MW3 has it and a slew of other features. I can almost guarantee that...
I love the game. It sold well over a million copies. Which is a success. Sometimes people just don't like change. It's something we as people always claim to want with everything, especially games, but when we get change we find we'd rather they had stuck to with what worked before...or we get Obama and his "change".
I wish they would have. Portal=overrated.
People were assuming a lot of different things, collaborating is what a lot of companies do. So let's not act like it's a horrid thing. Didn't Naughty Dog help out with Killzone 3 or something? It's pretty common for companies to help one another out with certain products.
I mean look at the Halo CE remake, you have Certain Affinity and Saber Interactive chipping in with 343i.
We get it, Sony sells God Of War games.
Bad Company 2 didn't last long. It's pretty dead online. Where as MW2 and Black Ops have over a million apiece on those games every day on XBL.
If you want a successful FPS game, you need to use some of the COD formula. As much as people complain about it, there is a reason it does so well.
More FPS games would do well to incorporate COD style control setup as well.
It'd be way too late for a PS4 then, since the Xbox 720 is coming out next year.
Solid game. I definitely see potential for the sequels. They took just enough from COD to make the game fun and accessible. I can see the sequel easily outselling games like Battlfield and Killzone.
*edit 1*
@Lionalliance
Not sure why that's funny? Unless you take into account it already has outsold Killzone 3. My bad for stating something incorrectly.
Bad Company 2 only sold around 5 million, I don't see why a Homefront sequel could...
What if my aunt had balls? He'd be my uncle.....
Weird to put these two against each other. Gears isn't even the best franchise on the Xbox 360. Though it's clearly my most anticipated game this year. I cant say much for Uncharted, I own the first two but haven't even gotten around to unwrapping them yet.
I hear good things, but I also hear there are some lame puzzles and I'm not really into stupid riddles and whatnot.
Both are 3rd person shooters I guess, but Gears has been a lot more suc...
Kind of a bad list really. I played Mortal Kombat off that list but have zero interest in the rest. I usually get around to all the games I have, but right now I have a ton in the back catalog. Hell I cant even put down Black ops long enough to take the wrappers off Uncharted 1& 2 that I got on sale a couple of months ago....
Kind of, it's just getting ported to PS3/PC. The porting is actually getting done by a totally different company. As the company that made Limbo is already making a new IP.
Nope. It's all a gimmick. Just like 3-D. It comes and goes. I think people were interested in it 10-15 years ago. Not anymore.
I want to see more of the space combat and pod racing from this game. I know I'll most likely buy this because I am a huge Star Wars fan and own a Kinect. I just would like to see a bit more.
