I agree, I find it disappointing to see fans not accept this new Prince. Not all heroes in comics, TV or movies began as someone great and respectful, some were just ordinary people just like you and me who didn't have a clue on how to act as a hero in the first place.
Though it was subtle, the Prince's attitude began to become a bit less witty and silly as the game progressed. He became a bit more caring, and if you compare the Prince that first landed in the desert to the one...

You can get rid of the ticker by changing the date 1 year ahead. That way no news is posted because the PS3 can't read the future. :P

Anyway I think it's interesting to see how Gears of War 2 only took $12 million. There must have been a huge amount of profit because it's such a high profile game.
I kind of liked the orb hunting in Prince of Persia. It was really easy because each area had a number of light seeds and you could track your progress well enough that it wasn't boring.
HOWEVER, I hate treasure hunting in which the game provides no direction and no progress on what you are collecting.
Interesting, personally I feel God of War 3 should be a single-player experience. Although I have to admit, the combat would be crazy and co-op could open up new levels of puzzles that are more complicated.
