not surprised of the ps3 to 360 sales, but pretty ps2 sales are pretty surprising especially for NA which mostly should be in next gen right now
If MS can make the price of the 360 $250 any time they wanted to as pachter claims, MS could definitely make a $299 250gb, but i doubt it would include an extra controller and MW2.

If you look at games lately, there isn't a porting problem anymore with the big titles... maybe there's a problem for small games, but not with the good games.

These first day sales are pretty good considering that its the US, the first UC sold 37k, and it launched on a weekday

but people here are saying how great it is for a western game to sell that much in Japan

If this is something Kojima wants to make, i believe its going to be just as amazing as MGS series
he bases his prediction on the fact that Microsoft is willing to subsidize it, and he thinks that its only a camera, and that the wand is a camera and controller, but he doesn't know its a high tech camera with some on board processing power which is pretty expensive.

I dont want to buy it because it seems they're trying to use the MGS name to get sales for a totally different genre, like MS did with Halo Wars.
MGS is meant to be a stealth game, but I'd check out MGSR if its any good.
