Didn't Oblivion itself have more play time than numerous PS3 games. And it should, because its an RPG. Mass Effect itself is an RPG an thus should have more hours of gameplay than an Action game. Besides, the amount of time it takes to complete a game varies from person to person. Although some may complete the game within 50 hrs, others may complete it faster, depending on the person. Game playing time is subjective and depends on the person playing the video game.

Agreed, FMVs scenes take up a lot more space than in-game assets, in fact more than last gen because they are saved in an HD format. Higher quality FMVs lead to larger files, which is the reason why Blue Dragon is three discs long. However, I don't believe that Bioware is a company that relies on FMVs. Somebody, please correct me if I'm wrong as I haven't played many Bioware games.
I myself, do enjoy fully rendered and cinematic scenes. It was one of the things that drew me...
Technically you don't lose GBs, as the GBs themselves weren't actually there to begin with. Formatting a HDD does not make you lose disk space, instead, it prepares the HDD in order for it to be of use.
Like the link that xionpunk provided states, DVD9 is actually 8.5GBs. Although, a GB in true terms as stated in the link above, is 1024MB, companies actually rate them in 1000MB increments to keep it nice and rounded.
So to summarize my post, DVD has less than 8...
The first pic does look like it's in real time. If you make a comparison between the first pic and the third pic you'll notice the imperfections. The hair, for example, looks like it has jaggies in the first pic, but the hair in third pic looks smooth and more detailed. So I think that the first pic may be ingame.
Regardless, the graphics of this game are insane.
The PS3 is trimming the lead that the Wii has had on it for each month, but not in total sales. Basically, it means that the Wii is beating the PS3 in sales but not as well as it had before.
If for example, the Wii outsold the PS3 last month 4-1, but has now outsold it 2-1 this month, the sales gap between them isn't as wide as the previous month. Therefore, the PS3 would be "trimming the lead" or shortening the gap between them.
Basically, if the PS3 ...
I remember when GamePro scored Xenogears a 3/5. If I had based my purchase on their review at the time, I would've never have played the game, and would have missed out on one of the PSXs best RPG. After that, I pretty much based all of my purchases on whether I enjoy the genre or not. I usually take reviews as an opinion about the game. I don't look at the score, but instead, read what they thought about the game.
Reviews should be more about the substance of the game and ...
The game looks amazing. Good job Nintendo!
I know this may be a stupid question but are these effects real time or are they added after the video's been recorded?
Thanks for the answer Mu5afir. Bubbles for you.
I don't know. Maybe, it's because people have nothing better to do than argue, or maybe they like to hate. It's useless to try to understand some people on this site.
The 500 MB solution sounds weird. I wonder what would cause that sort of error to occur, and also why would it be fixed by deleting or adding 500 MB to the hard drive. It just seems odd.
Anyway, glad to know that they have a simple solution to the problem. Maybe in an update they will be able t...
I've been reading nothing but good things about this game. The demo was pretty cool, so I'm glad that the rest of the game plays as well as it looks. I may pick it up tomorrow if I can.
Good job Insomniac. Can't wait to play it.

Above is the link to the true article.
Destructoid is quoting an article which lists no sources. It's his, Dean Takahashi's, opinion. I'm not hating on the guy, I mean, he has the right to say whatever he wants about Sony, but it shouldn't be treated as credible "News". If he wants credibility, he needs to...
That's gross! It looks like a PS2 game. WTH Capcom.
Neither Folklore nor Eye of Judgment were meant to be AAA titles. Please tell me, who the hell said that?
Both of those games don't appeal to the mass market. Eye of Judgment was made for card game lovers, while Folklore was a hybrid rpg.
The people who talked up Folklore only did so because they liked the game not because of the reviews. IMO, I never believed that Folklore would be that great. However, after reading some user reviews, I decided that I may g...
I've been waiting for a good Stargate game to release.
Download it now!
It's an awesome demo. It looks and plays great.
Edit: Yeah it's only for Japan, but if you create a Japanese account you can download the demo. I urge anyone, who hasn't already made a foreign account, to do so because you get a lot more demo's and don't have to wait for Sony to release in your region.
Making an account is pretty simple, you just have to follow a HOW TO guide.
The 20GB PS3 has the same backwards compatibility as the 60GB one. You can still play all of your PS2 games without having to worry. Although, the only thing missing in the 20GB is wifi.
Remote play works either through the PS3s Wifi or a router I believe. So even if it doesn't have wifi you could always connect to the PS3 through the use of a router.
So to answer your question -- Yes, remote play still works.
One of the best posts I've read in a long time. Good job!

If any of you actually read the interview you would know that he said that Forza was taking a different approach to developing a racing game than they were.
He never stated that Forza was "Way" ahead of Gran Turismo in features just ahead. Obviously because they're approach to delivering a racing game are different.
Of course, Kazunori Yam...
Yeah, I can't even count the amount of time that I spent playing Gran Turismo 3 and I'm still not part of the 100% club, lol.
Shadow of the Collosus: Maybe 10 hrs or less, but the game felt longer. Still, it was one of the best PS2 games I'd ever played.
God of War: Less than 15 hrs on Spartan Mode. I still haven't played God mode.
FFX: 50+
FFXII: Around 40
Resistance: Still playing it. Alot online.
Motorstorm: Still playing it.
MGS:...
