Xbox one policies led to huge negative word of mouth for the console (deservingly so).
PS4 had a pitch perfect launch with great word of mouth.
Doesn't hurt PS4 is 50% more powerful in hardware.
Fast selling doesn't equal best selling.
Ps4 sold out which leads to a lower possible rate of increase.
Xbox increased more because it may not have sold out everywhere.

Yeah, I think this is it. After the kotaku article, it sounded like there was two opposing views of what the game is supposed to be.
