I think the reason why companies are doing this is because it cost them absolutely nothing to implement so if it fails it doesn't hurt them and if it succeeds they get easy money.

Even video games took 20+ years before they became mainstream, but I do think VR will be mainstream someday.

I also think Microsoft will eventually cut Bethesda down to only 2 or 3 games and then close, sell, shrink, or combined most of its smaller entities. I just don't see how making Starfield exclusive is going to help or benefit Xbox in any way. The have already lost 25% to 50% +/- of the fans by not putting it on PlayStation and very few (if any) people will jump ship for one game or buy an Xbox for one game. Also, anybody playing starfield on GP will not be paying the $70 that Microsoft would have made from every purchase. I agree, I can think of several ideas for a superman video game that would be awesome. I think it would be easy to have him not kill anyone, just make pedestrians unkillable it's no different than Batman or Spiderman and like you say so many of his powers if done right could make for fun game mechanic.

I have no idea what everyone's talking about Chris Pratt sounds fine, he has a slight New York accent that matches very well with a realistic version of Mario, its better then the old 80's/90's cartoon/live action shows and nowhere near as annoying or goofy as the squeaky video game voice where he says like 4 or 5 words a game. This was a great response to the fans, it reassures most of our fears about this horrible situation.
