@The Real Killer.
You do have a point. The initial rush and economy defence are the main staples of the game.
Real strategy in sc2 only comes after you have survived the initial rush and economy harassment tactics. Strategy in itself is to discern what they are making and to effectively counter.
For new players it is extremely hard to get into. Especially if you are not good at the macro/micro. I understand that because I was one of those people. How...
Live action footage doesn't really do anything for me. Although at first I was wondering if I clicked on the right link. haha.
But at least its announced. GAME ON!
shhh don't ruin my dreamZ. :(
But yes... my worst fear is that Microsoft xbox will become a totally casual machine AND Microsoft will be raking in the dosh and living it up.
While we... the gamers suffer.
I thought rail games was a late 80's-90's thing when the pc age was just getting a hold of CD ROM technology and if you went to an arcade you had Virtua Cop, Time Crisis, and Operation Wolf but wait second... I actually got to hold the plastic gun and feel cool doing it.
So Kinect is all about bringing back 90's gaming with much better graphics of course. YAR HAR~
Rail games only work in arcades while I am waiting to see a movie with friends or so...
Microsoft is letting down their core gaming base in hope of attracting a group of people that don't even play games... cough... kinect.... cough... casuals... cough... WTF?
I mean I really don't understand who on earth was in charge of this business decision.
Xbox360 had a kick a$$ lead and kick a$$ games when Gears of War and Halo 3 belted the Ps3 to the ground and stomped on its face. It was because of this I bought a xbox360. What happened? I reall...
xbox will amazingly survive regardless.
The casual gamers(yes not only the wii) will keep it afloat. Because they don't even know what an "exclusive" is just as long as they get their dose of mw2. Also I am counting on Reach to be magnificent. So the sales of that will keep 360 afloat well into the next year. Also Kinect... even though it does look like a joke right now, might actually be a saving grace.
However it is still funny that people are...
Admittedly I hadn't touched my pc for awhile. Every game that came out I would usually buy for my ps3/xbox360. And then StarCraft 2 finally came out and I've been playing it ever since. Prior to that it was on and off small stints of Dawn of War 2 and Empire Total War. Thank you Blizzard for reminding me that PC games can rival the best of the console games. No I am not talking about graphics, I am talking about overall presentation and polish. When you play Sc2 you can automatically ...
Wow... I mean WOW... they could've done anything... ANYTHING... yet they put their effort in this. Hahahaha im not sure whether to praise them or shake my head at the waste of brilliant talent.
Even so, that is simply awesome.
I actually preferred FFVIII over FFVII. I think it was because of all the fighting/school based anime I was watching back then, also I loved the look and design of the characters. The FMV was really exceptional at the time. The ballroom scene and the moment where the two academy's clashed sealed the deal for me. Also the card game was so addictive for me. I still think the credit FMV scene is one of the best endings ever.
8.9? I haven't seen an RTS game this good for such a long time. The last half decent one was Dawn of War 2 and prior to that was World In Conflict and even then it was only the singleplayer that they excelled at. Sc2 excels in both campaign and multiplayer. But to each their own opinion. 8.9 is still a great score, however among RTS games I believe it is a bit low to all the ones that have been released as of late.
I don't know, I actually loved Code Veronica more than Resident Evil 4. I think it was because they made claire Redfield look so cool, also I was surprised that Chris came in halfway. It was a time where when I played the game, I didn't have anything spoilt before I even touched the game. So I guess that was why I enjoyed it more than res 4. Of course Res4 is much more traditional horror orientated(villages, monasteries)... while Veronica is more lab on an island gone haywire. Maybe i...
What? It doesn't have AA... never noticed... :P
My gf is playing it on a macbook. Her settings are on medium to low, but it still looks great(really it does!) and plays fine. The only difficulty I had with it was the one button mouse system forces you to push command+click as the right mouse button on a pc(there is probably a way around it but i didn't bother to find out as I was having too much fun). But apart from that it was extremely playable. I played on her macbook for 4 hrs before i got home to install my own copy.
I haven't even hardly touched the singleplayer yet(I blame all my friends on multiplayer grrr)... just completed the second outlaws mission, but wow... the amount of work put into the singleplayer is already very impressive!
The only problem I had so far with the game was some bnet issues last night... but seems fixed today, so all good.
I was impressed... in the city here in Melbourne Australia, we had 3 independent midnight launches all within 500 metres of each other. JB Hifi, Eb, and Dungeon Crawl... the turn out was quite remarkable.
I don't want it to compete with god of war. I want it to be better than castlevania 2 + 3, SoTN, portrait of ruin, order of ecclesia, so on and so on... in a sense that it has item management and RPG qualities alongside the free roaming exploration feel(even though they seal a number of doors for you).
If it in anyway tries to be something it isn't... as in tries to be a god of war, I pray for its livelihood because that is not what the successful Caslevania titles we...
If you have the money and want one... go get one. Simple.
Accusing people of being stupid for buying something because they can is a stupid remark in itself.
If you were given a free tv and you had to choose between a 1080p tv with 3d options or a 1080p tv without 3d. People would most likely pick the tv with more advance features(thus you would have to be an idiot to NOT pick the 3d tv). Surmising my point that it all comes down to pure jealousy. Jealousy ...
yes the best is yet to come for the xbox360 and every other console this generation.
However, I don't think it will be from Peter, because every game he releases he will come back in the sequel and say "that last game was poo, in this game we will...."
I'm still recovering from the hype around Black and White.
Powerglove... lol... I remember that movie with Frank Savage in it(the Wizard) and in the end he brings forth the POWERGLOVE... me as a little kid then was like... whoa... I want one. hahaha now when I look back at what the powerglove actually is, im like... WHAT THE HELL?
That game is epic. I've watched quite a few in the past few months since Beta and this is definitely one of the most(from what I have seen) entertaining matches if not the best so far.
